EltaMD UV Clear Face Sunscreen SPF, Oil-Free Sunscreen with Zinc Oxide, Dermatologist Recommended

I’ve tried so many sunscreens for my face and this is truly the very best. Doesn’t irritate or sting my eyes. Goes on smooth and absorbs quickly without leaving a white cast. I also love how it moisturizes my skin. No smell and keep me protected without being oily.

This stuff is amazing, and works well with my very sensitive skin. It is just tinted enough that it also sort of works as a foundation. If you pair it with your foundation, it works even better. It is moisturizing and feels great, and doesn’t have a weird smell like some sunblock does. It’s not too thick and feels like on my skin. It is a little pricey, but overall I think it’s worth the price because of how luxurious it feels and because it only takes a small drop to go a long way. It’s great for on the go if you are not wanting to do a full face of make up in the summer, but still want a more elevated, glowy look.

I've happily used ELTA MD sunscreen for many years. It works well for my life in the sun year round. It's a physical barrier sunscreen. I recently ordered a new bottle. The bottle of sunsreen I received is not the same sunscreen. Most notably it contains Octinoxate. Sunscreens using this chemical are banned in places such as Hawaii and Key West and it is not approved for use in Europe. It's bad for marine life. and human life. Studies have shown that Octinoxate can block normal androgen and progesterone signaling, leading to reduced levels of testosterone and progesterone in rats. A study of Chinese elementary and high school children found exposure to Octinoxate in boys, measured by urinary concentrations, was linked to delayed onset of puberty. Another animal study reported octinoxate affects the metabolic system. Do your own research should you have any doubts. Unfortunately the return window has expired. That's $45 lost. Now I will order the variety I have used for years which only use zinc and titanium oxides for protection. It's unfortunate that ELTA MD does not make it clear that this version uses a hazardous chemical that may cause various problems. Update. I ordered what I thought was a bottle without the chemical. Turns out that it does. It looks like I will have to go to a different brand to avoid it.

Great sunscreen!! I was looking for a new sunscreen after I was prescribed tretinoin and sunscreen is a must! It hasn't broken me out and have noticed my skin tone is more even. I was having issues of the sunscreen pilling so my advice would be to pat into the skin first and then rub to fully blend it in. I do wear makeup everyday so applying this way makes my makeup lay so flawlessly. It has that sunscreen smell that lingers after application but it feels so hydrating that I don't always need to also use a moisturizer, applied right after toner and serums in the morning.

Would not go a day without using this product. I have been using it for years.

A great alternative to the thick face moisturizers with SPF50 that leaves a white film on your face. Works really well under my foundation. I love that it is also tinted. I just wish it wasn't so expensive.

This sunscreen is an ideal product for my personal use. It applies transparently, causes no irritation, and most importantly, effectively shields my skin from sunburn and damage. I have experimented with various sunscreens from globally recognized brands and known beauty brands that did not perform as effectively as this product, which is a leading brand in its category. While it is somewhat costly, I have previously spent more on products that yielded unsatisfactory results. Totally recommend.

This product is excellent for combination skin type. It doesn't break me out and great coverage for my 51 year old skin. I don't like wearing make up up, so this allows me to get a even look on my skin without the heaviness or greasy feeling on my face. Really love that this is protecting my face from the sun. Only negative is the price range of the product. Please give it a try, you will not great this purchase.
