Neat, easy and works
Easy to use. Throw into the dryer with the clothes. The ball looks the same when you take it out. Makes you wonder if it does anything, then you realize that there's no static cling on your towels and your socks aren't hiding in your shirt. Works great! It doesn't add any perfume fragrance, which may be important to those with allergies or a dislike of the fruity smells. It cost about the same a a box of dryer sheets, but lasts for 3 -5 times as many washes. So it's quite cost effective. I'm glad I bought it.

Great!
My two youngest kids have bad eczema so I cant use fabric softener (not even the free and clear stuff as it also breaks them out) so when I saw these I had to give them a try. I will admit I might be easily pleased since I haven't been able to use fabric softener in nearly a decade. I purchased these at the same time I bought a laundry ball. Along with my sister and best friend we tested both. I found that these cut the dry time on my loads by about 15 minutes per load, (I do about 10 loads a day so this saves about 2 hours of electicity on my bill each day) It also does a great job killing static and keeping the clothes from wrinkling. Clothes are also much softer than they have been in years. And the big plus for me is that it is everything free. My kids aren't breaking out because of these, which is more than I can say for any and all of the free and clear and organic products out there! And yes in the last decade we have tried them all at one time or another and my kids have paid for each attempt. My sister noted a decrease of about 30 minutes per load (She uses industrial dryers at a laundrymat. so this ssaves her about a dollar a load) She also said it did good at keeping her clothes from wrinkling and left everything static free with the exception of her synthetic fabrics. My bestfriend said it didn't help her drying time but did kill static almost as well as fabric softener sheets and her clothes came out with fewer wrinkles. My friends dryer is about 20 years old and not the most efficient machine ever. In the end we would all recomend these balls as a good alternative to dryer sheets. Espically for those with sensitive skin issues. As we have only been using these for a week none of us can atest to how durable they will be bit at this pice even if they only last a month your still saving money. For what its worth they seem sturdy and I dont forsee having to replace these anytime soon due to them tearing up or breaking down.

Good - not amazing
I remember my mom using some dryer balls when I was younger that were amazing. I have been trying to find them ever since. These are good as they help speed up the drying process but are really squishy and are tiny enough that they get caught in sleeves and pockets and then we have to hunt to find them for the next load. Once, we "lost" them for a week because they were hidden in a sweatshirt. Pros: - Works as advertised - whether they make things fluffier, there is still debate on that. Cons: - Very tiny

They're supposed to be hard.
These work great. I'm alergic to fabric softeners, and I never really thought fabric softener worked all that well anyway. These aren't a miracle. If you leave your clothes in a lump for a few hours, they're going to wrinkle, but this definitely helps. People tend to complain that all laundry balls are hard. Yah, they're hard, but they're supposed to "whack" your clothes. Also, as the dryer heats up, they get soft. They'll make a little noise when you first start the dryer, particularly if you don't have much in there. They get quieter when they get hot. Might be annoying if your dryer is in the kitchen or something, but so would any laundry ball. Or a sneaker in the dryer etc.

Seems to be OK
So these balls seem to help a little with static, but i am not sure they are much better than the dryer sheets. They do seem to help reduce drying time a little, so there is some good to them. The biggest drawback i have is the construction quality. One of the dryer balls has broken and split in half. We had to throw it out because we started getting little blue chunks in our "clean" laundry. The other ball seems to be ok, so perhaps we just got a bad one? I am on the fence as to whether i would buy these again. Hope this helps.

Very happy! Should have bought these a long time ago!
I can't use fabric softeners because of allergies and have always had to hang my clothes so the don't shrink. Including jeans which become stiff. Now all I do after they hang dry I dampen a face cloth and throw the pants, the dryer balls and the face cloth in and I have very soft unwrinkled pants in 20 min. Works great for my newborns clothes too. Throw all his clothes in with the balls on now heat, tumble dry and everything dries faster! Does not do anything for static though!!

They sure make a racket, but . . .
these dryer ball things actually work. Clothes come out of the dryer with fewer wrinkles. It's just a good idea not to be close by when the machine is cycling though its various steps. Noisy as they are, we use them unit they simply beat themselves to death (as a different version did last year, splitting in two in dramatic fashion. These things are cheap, surprisingly durable, and do the job. I'll live with the noise. I took away one star -- only as a challenge to manufacturers to come up with a model that doesn't sound like it's trying to escape and roam around the house in search of family members to torture.
