Sakkas 78" x 28" Silky Soft Solid Pashmina Shawl/Wrap/Stole

Recently, I lost my favorite shawl. I liked it because it was light weight and could be worn on cool evenings and in too cool places without making me feel hot. Now meet my new favorite shawl. Ladies this is luxury. It is so soft and beautiful. The color is very rich. I highly recommend it.

While the color is nice and its very shiny and feels soft to the touch, its super thin, which is okay, since it has a nice drape. But what really killed it for me is that it is SUCH POOR QUALITY that just taking it out of the chinese plastic bag it came in made it run (like a nylon stocking!) and completely ruined the shawl. Its only good to look at, as soon as you touch it, it dissinigrates with snags and runs. Its literally a 'one time wear' disposable piece, which is worth Three Dollars Max. In fact, these are sold all over China Town in NYC for Two to Four Dollars per Shawl. The mark up on this Chinese low quality shawl is ridiculous. Extra star for color and look of it while in the bag.

I ordered two of these shawls since the price was reasonable - one yellow and one white. The yellow shawl was just the right color to go with my lemon and white maxi dress I wore for our beach wedding at sunset. I was able to carry it in my purse until going home when it got a little cooler. It was a beautiful early Fall evening and the shawl is lightweight and elegant and matched perfectly. I bought a white one as well to bring on a cruise we will be taking next year. When you want just a little cover over bare shoulders, this works perfectly and it drapes nicely.

I only paid $12 for this so I didn't expect it to be the best. I just needed something I could wear to keep my chest warm under my coat. This scarf is awesome. It's so soft and bigger than I thought it would be, so I can actually use it as a scarf AND a hood at the same time It's nice and warm too. Will be buying more colors.

This is nice for a casual shawl look. It provides light warmth--something I enjoy in church when the A/C is on, but I wouldn't depend on it outdoors for long. Also, the quality is mediocre. It's not going to fall apart, and I'm pleased with it for what I use it for, but if you're looking for a high-end look for say a wedding or formal occasion, I would choose a different product. Finally, the color is not accurately portrayed on amazon. What I got was in fact much darker than what I expected. Overall, I am well-pleased with this product.

I was amazed to get a shawl that was "almost" navy blue. It is my opinion that the original people who produced Pashmina, who are of Indian descent, don't call colors by the same name that Americans do. For example, I ordered a "Navy Blue" from another vendor and received a shawl that could only be called, "Royal Blue", by us. But it appears to be a difference in cultural backgrounds. Thus, this shawl is actually closer to black than to Navy but a whole lot better than Royal Blue, since I already have a Royal Blue Pashmina and wanted a navy to go with a particular outfit. This will do the trick and it was very soft and had a nice hand to it. It drapes beautifully and unlike some of the Pashminas that are sold with silk in them, which makes them very itchy, this shawl is soft and warm.

The shawl got here with a small defect, and it's not very well made aside from that. I would have returned it, but it's so cheap, it didn't seem worth it. I was thinking about buying more of these shawls in different colors, but I'm definitely going to look for a better brand now that I've seen how poorly made these are. THe only reason that this got two stars instead of one is that it was so cheap.

I've looked everywhere trying to find a shawl appropriate for my satin handkerchief dress. The dress is very flowy and everything else seemed so old lady-ish or bulky. So, I was very excited to find this. The pashmina silk gives it a very soft and shiny texture which goes great with my satin dress. And since it's solid, it'll actually be warm instead of many of the knitted shawls have holes in them which let in the cool air. Does need to be ironed when it arrives, but that's easily done with a cool iron.
