Good Starter for Highschool Boys
When I was checking the reviews when I bought this I was concerned it would be less than 12 pounds, but when I weighed it I got 12.2 lbs which is a good sign since most shotputs including this one have a coating or paint on them which will come off over time through chipping and denting. Please note: it comes smooth, I scratched mine a little bit throwing it before I took photos.

Ball is under 12lbs
This ball was officially weighted at my son’s Pioneer Conference Championship today as the balls must be 12lb or greater. This ball did not qualify because it does not weigh 12lbs.
