They're serving their purpose without breaking
Perhaps these locks aren't really a five-star product. They do feel cheap, and the springy mechanism isn't the most smooth and easy. BUT they've served their purpose without breaking and with ease for me. As long as I make sure I squeeze the lock before trying to slide it open, I have no problems; and even when I do rush things, it hasn't seemed to hurt the product. They do well keeping my toddler son out of the cabinets, but my 4-year-old knows how to open them (which is fine in our home). They've been manhandled a decent bit by parent and child and have held up fine. So, as far as I'm concerned, so long as they work well and stay inexpensive, they can go on feeling cheap.

for the price a good product, possibly not child proof
These are cheap child locks. I bought them to keep my cat out of the lower kitchen cabinets but if you are buying them fur a child realize that they do not seal the doors. Even with them fully closed I can wiggle my cabinet doors open about 1/2 inch. Also they do not lock, not a problem for kitties without opposable thumbs but the release is simple bysqueasing the top and bottom of the catch. It might keep babies out but probably not toddlers. The plastic is also a bit flimsy, if a child pulled back with their body weight it might snap. As I said none of this is a problem for me as I am using them for cat locks not child locks.

Does the job
Bought the Dreambaby sliding locks for two reasons: 1) Keep our toddler grandchildren out of cabinets where there may be some things that might be harmful to them. 2) Keep our toddler grandchildren from emptying cabinets that do not have harmful things - because it is just so much fun. To avoid any suspense - these locks work! This concept has been around for a long time. We used to use similar sliding locks when our children where young. You press releases on the sides of the slide, then move the slide back or forth to capture a pair of cabinet handles. When positioned correctly, it is hard to open the cabinet door more than a small amount. This is not a perfect solution. Baby fingers can still get caught in a cabinet when they are trying hard to get into the locked off area. Pros for the Dreambaby sliding locks: Simple to use Does keep the cabinet closed. Difficult to open for most younger toddlers (and most pets)., Reasonable price compared to most alternatives. Cons: Cheaply constructed. With persistence, the long plastic arms can be broken and snapped off. I discount the cons. Most kids give up after seeing that it takes some work to get into the cabinet. There are so many other things to do. If your child enjoys breaking things or just does not give up, they will be able to break through this line of defense. Be careful!! Easy for adults to install. Difficult for toddlers to gain access.

Perfect for grandparents...
Way back before the earth cooled, and I was a new mother, I had to "baby-proof" our house. This was in the days before professional "baby proofers" came into a home and plugged outlets, put catches on opening drawers, etc. (If there were these experts out there, I didn't know about them). I had to muddle along with such products as the "Dreambaby Sliding Locks", ingenious white "things" that you can use to make sure two cabinet drawers cannot be opened to the poisons lurking inside. I found these tools at Toys R Us and pretty soon my kitchen and bathroom cabinets were fully closed off to wandering baby hands. Flash forward 35 years and my sons now have babies and toddlers of their own. There are companies that come to the home and fully lock it down. Catches inside kitchen drawers that are both baby AND grandmother proof! They are permanent fixtures to the cabinets and drawers. But not every home needs the permanent protection; a grandparent's home where baby visits needs to have "temporary" protections. And this is where the old Dreambaby Sliding Locks come in handy. I can attach them to kitchen and bathroom cabinets and drawers while the little ones visit, and then easily take them off after they leave. The sliding locks only work on cabinets and drawers where they can be fit between two handles. They don't prevent single drawers or cabinets from being opened, but I have at least three sets of drawers and cabinets that they do protect. For me, this old product is a simple way to temporarily locking down a house for my young and precious visitors. (You may want to know how easily these work in older hands. The only thing I can say is that for me they work fine, but I don't have arthritis. If you do, I'd investigate them a bit further.)

Highly recommended quality. Just wish they were a different color.
I have five kids. The youngest is fifteen months. All my kids caused some kind of mess with the cabinets but it was never a problem worth babyproofing. My youngest is the most diligent mess-maker ever. I finally bought these to hold my cabinets shut. These are great. They go over the knobs and hold the cabinets shut, the baby can't get through them, and they are super quick and easy to remove (I hate babyproofing stuff that is adult-proof also). My one and only complaint is that these are brilliant white, which makes them ugly. If they were dark grey or black or brown they would be far less visually obtrusive.

They work on my handled cabinets but are disposable and break after a few months use
I've been purchasing these for the last 11 years to keep my handled cabinets closed so that my cats do not open the doors. They work well and are easy to use, although they can be a bit "sticky" open and close which is good if using to keep a child out of a cabinet. The reason for the 3 stars is that these get cheaper every year. I look at these like disposable ties. Each one may last a month or less of regular use and then they have to be replaced. I wish I knew of another product that would provide the same function with ease of use but I don't know of any. They build obsolescence into this product but for about $1.25 each and I have to accept that. I'd be willing to pay more for a product that lasts but this is all I can find and for that reason only it's just okay.

They work great. I used similar ones 30 years ago for my kids and now use them for my grandson.

Funcional 100%, se tiene que tener en cuenta el tamaño ya que en mi caso quedó perfecto, mi hijo ya esta un poco grande casi 3 años y es muy fuerte, aun no las ha logrado romper xD

I bought these locks last month as my little girl kept opening and slamming the kitchen doors. We were worried she was going to jam her hand in there and had to do something quickly. We didn't want to mark the cupboard doors forever or have to screw in anything so these were perfect. Easy to open and close and take off when she's not in the kitchen if we've got guests over. It's even handy for keeping our cat out the cupboards as she has clevely worked out a way of opening them. Definitely made our lives easier.
