Good stuff!
Received these the very next day and had a use oir them the day after. Wasn't expecting great quality based on the price . Then again its only a rubber hammer with some bb's in the head for the dead blow. Worked great! Then i thought, if these are used as intended( key words" as intended") they will last a vey long time. The cost alone saved me money as i might have used a regular steel hammer and damaged the work. So i say yes, I would recommend these for the diy mechanic.

Nice set.
I work in the machining industry and we use hammers to set parts in vice jaws everyday. These hammers are very well priced and seem to be very durable. Lots of hammers don't usually make the cut or start to fray, chip or break easily. These have held there own.

Two out of three are deadblows
They don't have the best quality control on these, it seems. Deadblows should have loose sand or shot inside that deadens each blow. The smallest hammer has no loose material inside and bounces back. Might be a sample defect or they all be like that. I'm not bothering to return them. Still, for the price, not that bad.

Great value
These have worked and held up every bit as well as a Stanley Compocast. Great price and free shipping. Three sizes for different jobs. Delivers more force than a rubber mallet. The dead blow part means that it has no bounce back. All energy is transferred or absorbed by the sand or shot in the mallet.

Non Marring Blows
A nice set of dead blow hammers at a very reasonable price. Great for wood working and assembly when you need to deliver a blow without marring the surface.

Solid and reasonable
I've had these for 2 1/2 years as a machinist and have no reason to complain about them. They have held up well and still perform optimally. I doubt that there is much better for the price.

What can you say about a dead blow hammer?Quality product for not too much money. Well worth it.

These did a good job for me.
I bought these to hammer pins into truss for staging. These are nice because they are quiet and don't make a loud sound when you use them, but I found a hammer to do a plain old better job.
