still works great. The sound quality seems fine to me
I bought mine in 2011 and use it almost every day; still works great. The sound quality seems fine to me, but I'm not an audiophile and mostly play cd's of 1920s-1960s music. Looks cute too. The radio dial lights up when it's on, like origianl old time radio dials do. 7/16/19: The pop-out cd tray wouldn't open. I thought it must have broken. Forced it open with a butter knife (I didn't unplug it first, but if you're trying this at home, you probably should) and found the cd had slipped, causing the tray to jam. No issues with the tray opening and closing now. Also noting this model (from 2011 or earlier) doesn't have plugs for bluetooth/mp3 or anything like that- just am/fm radio and cd player.

Ok Bought it totally for looks
I bought this because I want my music system to have a certain look. I got what I paid for. It’s OK. Sound quality average. It really needs some kind a speaker system. Hard to read the lettering which is the same color as the metal background. One thing I hate is it that it doesn’t display stations clearly instead using the round dia so you have to fiddle around until you find what you want. That’s what I get for being so shallow. Hopefully some radio CD Manufacturer will realize there are people who still want vintage looks with quality sound and not just a plastic box

A Classy Classic!
I love this "Cathedral"-style Crosley AM/FM Radio/CD Player. The paprika color is so rich and warm, beautifully finished, and complements just about any other shade of wood finish. My style is eclectic, but leans to the Victorian and oriental with medium and dark cherry, mahogany, black lacquer, and jewel-tone fabrics, so the finish and style of this Crosley piece fit right in. The sound is great -- maybe not like a $3,000 sound system, but it does justice to my classical radio station and CDs. The antique-style, bronze-colored hardware is gorgeous and really completes the look. Everyone who sees it wants to know where I found it, especially when I tell them how reasonably priced it is (they all should know by now that I find my "deals" on Amazon). It arrived ahead of schedule and in excellent condition (good packing), and I highly recommend this product and vendor.

Utter garbage. Bought a couple months ago
Utter garbage. Bought a couple months ago, and CD player has stopped working. Sound quality is terrible. The only positive is that it looks cute....but if you can't use it, what's the point? **Update: Had to send back to Crosley after 5 months to fix the CD player. Now, in December 2018, CD drawer won't open. I am going to toss this piece of Chinese crap and buy something that actually works.

Watch it on the radio!
I am pleased with my purchase of the Crosley CD Cathedral radio. My main ambition was to find a radio with the Cathedral style to fit in my personal apt style. It has a CD player, which has good sound. The sound quality is not 100% but I did not expect it to sound like a Bose system. The AM/FM radio has good sound. My only negative comment is that whomever designed this particular radio did not think very much about the placement of the buttons on the front but the instructions did help me. It is a beautiful, wooden Cathedral radio and so far I am glad that I made the purchase. It arrived very quickly and I did not spend extra for S&H. It was here 3 days before Christmas! I do have 2 Bose systems but they are about 15 years old and are not working very well. With the economy being what it is, I think the Crosley is a good purchase. I purchased the radio per the Amazon.com system, which I try to do more & more.

Worth the money
I read lots of reviews on several sites before I decided to purchase this radio/CD. Some reviews were very good, some were very bad. I have had my radio/CD now for a couple of months, and I am extremely happy with it. The radio doesn't bring in stations from thousands of miles away, but it brings in plenty of stations. One of my concerns was that the speakers are on the sides rather than the front. I find that is not a problem; my radio/CD player is on a table in my living room and the sound comes out loud and clear. I couldn't have asked for more without going to a high-end, expensive product. Also, the price through Amazon was better than most sites, not only because of the base price, but because of hidden shipping and handling fees from some sites -- one website wanted almost 30 percent. Can you tell I'm a fan of Amazon?

Nice Looking but barely functional
The cabinet looks great and fits well in the limited space we had available for it. The sound is average which is to be expected on on a standard radio. The tuner is below average and hard to pickup stations. We finally found the station the wife listens to during the day and we don't move it. I have not tried the CD player yet but I feel safe to assume that it works fine.

looks good but....
cant read the play, ejec,t ect buttons.....any of the buttons. its metal on metal....bought this for my 80 year old aunt....hard for me to see the control buttons. you have to lift itup and out of the glare to see it it...very bad design. not easy to operate. radio dial is so tiny u have to bend down to see that to. on top of everything else the cd player stopped working after a month. waiting to see what the company is going to do. i just want one that works.... lets see what they do.
