I bought this to replace an older and dying shower radio. Overall I am very happy with this product.The GoodMy issue with wireless devices is my home uses these crazy walls for security and disaster immunity. This usually results in a weak wireless signal or no signal at all. For my wireless home phone system I had to buy all these signal repeaters. This wireless speaker offers darn good range, far exceeding my expectations.In terms of sound quality, this is only 1 speaker and its wireless, so your expectations shouldn't be high. If you buy this going in with that reasonable expectation, than this speaker will surprise you. Its by no means great, but it is good for what it is. Sound is clear and bass is *slightly* thumpy (thumpy being a good thing). In a bathroom, the sound is pleasing and powerful enough.This product is surprisingly versatile. You can run it with the included power brick or with 6 AA batteries.The BadMy only real gripe with this product, and why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars, is that it doesn't "remember" the volume or bass boost setting. Every time you turn it on, you have to press the volume button a dozen times and press the bass boost button. This takes all of a minute to do, so not a big deal, but its a bit annoying.Personally, I don't like the dock. I would've preferred just a tiny dongle to plug the headphone jack into, but this is not a serious issue, just an aesthetic one. Also some people might prefer the full dock.

Sound is nice, easy to use and convienent for its purpose. Only negative is that the base needs to sit relatively close to shower, Consider that If you have limited counter space.

Typically, I am far too lazy to write product reviews. I make this exception purely because this product was such a pleasant surprise. I had an AM/FM shower radio about 25 years ago -- some of you remember the type. Music sounded like it was coming out of a tin can, batteries lasted about a week, and if you stood perfectly still, you might be able to tune in one local radio station. And I loved it! Time passed along with the fad, and I forgot all about shower radios. On a lark, I purchased this one during a holiday lightning deal.Let me tell you, shower radios have come a long way! This device has a nice, rich full range of sound -- similar to any mid range boombox. It will blast you out of the shower if you desire, as it can play quite loud. I am technically impaired, but I had this thing up and running with my Ipod, 4th gen in about 2 minutes. I put this is in a very small walk in shower, but it has a compact profile and does not take up too much space. For the sake of completeness, I will mention that the transmitter does not charge the Ipod. It does not claim that it does, however, in my rapid purchase the holder looked like it might also charge my device. You are just plugging into the headphone jack.In a year filled with nice gifts, this radio is by far my favorite. I listen to music whenever possible. If you are one of those type people, too, I cannot recommend this shower radio highly enough.

This speaker is horrible and even more the seller is horrible. We purchased this speaker for our son for Christmas. The product broke within two weeks. We returned the item to the manufacturer as my son really wanted a shower speaker, the next speaker broke within two weeks. When I called Ace Photo to get a refund they said they do not do refunds and this was stated on their web site. When I purchase a $78.00 item, I would expect that some sort of reasonableness would happen when the product is of inferior quality. Ace refused to give me a refund and actually refused to give me the name of the President of the company so I could appeal to him. The speaker is horrible, why would we want another one? Do not buy it and do not do business with Ace Photo Digital!

Worked pretty well, sometimes audio quality was poor sometimes ok for talk radio, never good. After 5 months the on-off switch on the receiver failed and I could not turn it off without pulling batteries and then could not turn it on.

This product is perfect for my situation because I have a radio in my bathroom but have a new baby in the room next to it. Plug in the transmitter turn it on, hang the speaker on the shower curtain bar (after installing batteries), and voila music you can hear in the shower without waking the baby. I have also carried the speaker into the basement while I grabbed something out of the dryer with good reception. The caution is that the plug that goes into the audio jack is kind of flimsy. This was the second similar item I purchased. The first was labeled "Smartek Audio", it worked fine but the plug broke on me. The Audio Unlimited (this one) is a better product because it comes with an additional power cord for the speaker and has the option to run the transmitter on batteries (in case you want to use it at the beach or pool. I recommend rechargeable batteries just because the speaker takes 6 AAs. The sound quality in my opinion is very good considering it is only a single speaker. Would have given it 5 stars if not for the flimsy plug.

The sound quality is good for human speech. For music, it has not pleasant sound, but it is good enough to listen to the news broadcast.

Had this for a couple years now, and still fully functional, withstanding being in my shower the whole time. Pretty good sound quality for a waterproof bluetooth speaker (I'm not looking for absurdly good quality since I use it in the shower). I use it at a range of about 30 ft, through 1 wall. The base is setup right next to my computer and very easy to plug into my speakers. I can even use the additional plugs/adapters to hook it up to my TV and listen to that while in the shower!I don't know how the battery life is, I'm lucky enough to be able to run the power cord from an outlet in my bathroom and over my shower door to where the speaker hangs.

There are many Bluetooth speakers available but I needed something that I could connect the transmitter to my bedroom stereo and then place the receiver in the bathroom or on the shower rod and listen to whatever I was playing on the stereo - Radio, CD, iPod. It works well.The set-up was easy - follow the instructions; its a little bigger than I originally thought but the sound quality is good.The battery life for the receiver/speaker seems OK so far but it is only on for maybe 20 mins. This has the wall power outlet adapter if I need to use it for longer, to preserve the battery life.Satisfied Customer!
