Perfect for little hands
These blocks are on the smaller side, but that's perfect for your little one's hands. Note that for this set the letters and images on other faces do not correlate, so you might have letter B and then a crocodile or something. At this price they are a great value and can be used for a variety of things like learning letters, rolling them like dice and practicing storytelling with what shows up, math, spelling, colors, solid/outline, etc... well worth it! Also comes with a nice little bag to store them in.

Perfect for 2 years and up
Do you have a two year old in your life? This is the perfect gift - they love blocks! My grandkids and great-nieces & nephews love them.

Cute but small!
The blocks are super cute, but the 4/5 stars comes because the blocks are a lot smaller than I expected. I guess that makes sense for the low price. Photo for comparison of Melissa and doug block vs. a standard block (size I was expecting)!

Thank you, I love the Melissa and Doug wooden building blocks. And I also love the fact that now it comes with a bag that can be Velcro shut. I loved playing with this when I was a kid, and now my child gets to play with the same thing. Not expensive, great quality, and super colorful without being ridiculous

Too small for poor dexterity little hands.
Look as pictured however are much smaller than I expected them to be for little hands. That’s my bad though since it does state in the description 1inch. 🥲

Exactly as I remember them
I bought these wooden blocks primarily as props for my photography with babies. Although some reviewers have mentioned they are rather small, they are exactly the same size that I remember them from my childhood. There's a good selection of letters and numbers so it's easy to spell out words and short sentences with them. However I find that the yellow blocks don't photograph very well! They feel durable, and my daughter (7 months old) also enjoys playing with these blocks which are a good size for her little hands to grasp.
