These bags are Great. I do wish there was a way to use by vacuum sealer and remove the air in the bag. But the best I could do is use a hot iron and seal all but a very small area large enough to insert one of the oxygen absorbers and then squeeze the bag and seal that remaining corner with the iron. These seem to be very thick and strong bags.

Perfect for most items although if you are facing things with sharp edges, a freezer bag liner will help the mylar resist punctures. I love that the O2 absorbers come with them, I never have to worry about having enough or running out.

Pros: Bags appear to be quality O2 absorbers came packed in two packages of 50 Cons: Didn't include all 100 bags The O2 absorbers are not reusable like others I use. I would probably purchase again anyways. These are for packaging rice so that bugs and moisture stay out of it. I really needed all 100 so I took off 1 star. Otherwise it appears good. I will be using my flat iron to seal and permanent marker to label (can erase with rubbing alcohol).

I buy a lot of these bags from different companies but the price from amazon beat all of them I store a lot of dry food so I use a lot of different sizes they are a pantries best friend and will buy more.

I used the product for dry food storage.

I have purchased 5 gallon and 2 gallon from "mylar bags" seller nothing but pin holes I can see light from inside bags from creasing, useless, these 1 gallon bags I have packaged lots of food never had a problem with pin holes or failure its actually more convenient way to package drys.. I think.

I recently used these with some Mylar bags to store up some sorghum. Thought they worked okay. Although I would like to caution that some of the packets appear to be duds. Meaning they don't suck up the air in already tightly packed and sealed bags. That's why I learned to place two packets inside of the bags. Btw I was using 1 gallon food safe Mylar bags. Hope this helps. Oh and keep these packets in an small-AIR-TIGHT-container too keep their 02 absorbing power at peak. the vacuum they create when absorbing the oxygen is VERY strong, so use an appropriate container.

Exactly what I need for canning and freeze dried food

These bags sealed easily with a regular iron. I packaged about 13 bags in the first run. I used 2 absorbers per bag just to be safe. I could see later that the bags were starting to look vacuum packed. Pretty much perfect. These are great for dry goods like white rice or green lentils. You wouldn’t want to use these for any product with moisture. That’s a no no. I packed the end result into 5 gallon pails to protect them. The smaller gallon bags I used will mean I can open up a reasonable amount later. I think I will still do some 5 gallon food grade pails later with the bigger oxygen absorbers. I did all the packing on my own with only a few spilled grains of this or that but would be easier with a 2nd set of hands. All in all a great product I wouldn’t hesitate to buy again.

Out of 32 bags only 2 bags worked. The oxygen absorbers were garbage! There was no documentation about the company that sent the useless product so I couldn't contact them. Surprise surprise! Would love to get my money back!
