Works great for me.
No its not a $1800 Garmin , but it works very well..and is my back up in my plane. For the money its a great standby to have just in case.

Great, but don't fool yourself, this isn't a Garmin.
I have to start out by saying I bought this from Gulf Coast Avionics, not from Amazon. This GPS has proven to be trust worthy and reliable. I bought this initially 2 years ago because I was going to the USA to get my Private Pilot License certified by the FAA and I wanted to do a couple of cross country flights while I was there. Since I was flying in a area I didn't know well, and especially in the Los Angeles Basin where VFR Traffic and Corridors are tough, I thought I'd be well prepared by getting this. Before going to the US, I decided to do a cross country here in Costa Rica to try it out and see how it would develop, and it went fine. However, when I removed the cigarette lighter from the plane's port, it broke in like 10 pieces. I freaked out as I would be flying to the US that next day, and 2 later I already had my flights booked. Thankfully, I called Bendix King and in a matter of 20 minutes, they were sending me my charger Next Day Air, I didn't even ask them for it, Awesome! To not go on longer on this review, I went to do 15 hours in the US, I did X-Countries out of KWHP, up to KIFP, KLSV, KSBA and on and on, and this unit NEVER failed me in anyway. The screen was responsive, the flight plans worked, and it always worked and provided me the info I needed.*NAV DATA*The GPS comes loaded with frequencies for airports in the area your SD covers, and they are up to date. It also has all relevant information and Hi-Enroute Charts and Low-Enroute Charts. It has the ability to run 2 things at the same time, so you can go back and forth without hassle.I was able to update my NavData free of charge with Bendix King and my airport directory, even updated my software version.*SCREEN*This unit has a touchscreen, but please be realistic, it doesn't have an iPad screen. It's difficult to get used to, but once you do, it's easy enough, and in comparison to a Garmin, I don't have to be moving a cursor to write a name or a new waypoint or something. It's pretty responsive, but again, remember it's no Apple Touchscreen.*GRAPHICS*This is where it's lacking. The UI and the graphics are pretty outdated, and this is because this "Pad" uses Windows 5.0 CE. You're not going to find the sharpness of a Garmin screen, but it's extremely easy to use, and has a terrain profile, so that works for me.*Bendix King CS*As I said earlier Bendix King is really easy to work with, they have phone support, so no emailing back and forth. I had an issue with my AV8OR, where the screen stopped responding, then I saw a crack on the screen. I called Bendix King, and with ABSOLUTELY no questions asked, or any issues, they sent me a replacement, they didn't even ask me to ship mine back, AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE.A previous reviewer said Bendix King was discontinuing this, yes, they discontinued the original ACE, if you look closely the newer one is more sharp and has rounded edges vs the square original one, they still provide customer service dedicated the AV8OR series. So, that's not entirely true.Bendix King is known by their avionics, and this cheap GPS is no exception to their well known name.
