New Balance is dedicated to helping athletes achieve their goals. It's been their mission for more than a century to focus on research and development. It's why they don't design products to fit an image. They design them to fit. New Balance is driven to make the finest shoes for the same reason athletes lace them up: to achieve the very best. Introduce them to the joy of trail running in the KT20 Minimus trail shoe from New Balance. The grippy sole offers traction and flexibility while the minimalist upper offers comfort with or without socks. Ample breathability helps keep them cool out there.

Light but sturdy
My husband and I are each HUGE New Balance fans but this is the first time we've splurged and bought some for our kids. My son LOVES these shoes. He says they make him really fast at PE, which is, obviously, very important for first graders. I think they are such a hit because, while they are a sturdy and supportive athletic shoe, they are amazingly light. He hates wearing shoes all day, usually the first thing he does when he gets home is strip off his sweaty socks and shoes. But lately I've been catching him wearing these shoes around the house for hours after he comes home. They are so comfortable, and cool, for his naturally sweaty feet that he forgets he's wearing them. The colors are fun, too- we chose the blue/black with yellow laces.I should also note that he has wide feet and the wide sizes are a life-saver for us. They are truly wide, in the right places around the arch and ball of the foot, not like some shoe makers just make them wide all over. I'll be ordering up some in the next few sizes up so we can have these on hand when he grows next.

Lightweight & Great Quality
This shoe has served as the primary daily shoe for an active boy since purchased 8 months ago. Meaning a daily shoe, through summer camp, and the school year so far this year. It has held up amazing in terms of looks and condition. I've had far more expensive shoes fall apart within a couple months - usually the front of the exterior sole coming unglued - but not this New Balance (not saying this wasn't expensive, just not as expensive as some I've had fall apart relatively quickly). It is super, super light weight, and is a very comfortable fit for him. He loves to run and is normally pretty fast, but this shoe just lets him go. It's pretty much a fabric shoe, which is good because there's no leather to peel which also happens on other shoes. I will have to replace soon just because its starting to look "tired" - but still in great condition.

Amazing shoes! Amazing PRICE!!!!
First of all, I bought these shoes for myself and I am a 27 year old woman. I wear a 8.5 and bought these in the size 6. I LOVE them, they are so close to perfect and you will NEVER beat this price. I got the gray and teal and despite what my boyfriend thinks I think they are so cute. He thinks the teal is a bit flashy, but he's a bit of a hater. I have wide flat feet and I've been wanting to try New Balance's minimalist line. These shoes are so light and comfy and durable. I WEAR my shoes, the first weekend I got them I went on an 8 mile hike and ended up having to cross a stream. I was kind of bummed about ruining them right away, but after a good hose down and a run through the wash they were like brand new again. I've done a quick 2 mile run in them and I felt like I was flying. These shoes are amazing, just buy them already!!

Great quality
Bought this shoe for my son who is a very active boy who loves to run and climb trees. I was fed up with buying $130 shoes that only lasted 2 months before completely desintegrating (i am talking about good quality hiking boots!) i bought these 4 months ago, he hasn't worn them every day because it is summer here, but they are still alive! Nice looking shoe, very light, good support and shoe wrecking boy resistent. Thumbs up!Update: three quarters of a year down the track and these shoes are STILL in good shape and my son has grown out of them! His next pair of shoes are going to be New Balance trail shoes again! Sooooo worth the money! And he got heaps of compliments about them, they look good! Colours are exactly as depicted.

Awesome trail shoe
I wear a WOMEN'S 8 but purchased the YOUTH shoe in size 6 1/2 (because ORANGE was not available in women's). The fit is perfect and they have all the advantages of minimal running yet do not require a ton of break-in time like some other minimalist running shoes do. The muscles in my legs are adjusting smoothly without a serious cut in mileage. Only complaint is the seam across the top of the shoe is quite rough on the inside and would cause blistering were I barefoot, so I am not able to wear these without socks. But with a pair of thin wool socks these run like a dream. And I LOVE the orange/black combo!

Excellent shoe! If you wear a 9.5 or less in women's shoes, check these out!
Working out, I wanted something to strengthen my ankles and feet. These shoes are great! I wear a 7.5 in women's, yet the colors weren't too fun in the women's Minimus, so, I checked out the kid's section. They give the same support and fit as the women's, yet are half the price and the colors are fun! I get compliments at the gym on these and everyone asks, "where did you get those! we haven't seen that color!".I highly recommend these for anyone for walking, jogging, gym work, Cross Training and TRX. Great shoe!

Good basic shoe
I got this shoe for my son. He wanted orange shoes, which are hard to find. I like the shoe. And, it does have a wide base. I purchased it for my son's wide feet. They are definitely wide and wider than I'd expected. But fine, nonetheless. I don't like the fact that the back of it doesn't have a "hard plastic" inside. I have to help my son get his shoes on every time. He (he's six) can't pull them on without messing up the back. And, they are kind of hard for me to get on. I have to keep my fingers pulled on the back of them to get them on his foot. I wanted this shoe to be one that he could be self sufficient in. But, it didn't work out that way.

Nice shoe
My daughter prefers these over the five finger barefoot shoe the previously had. This model holds up well. I have personally gone through 3 pair last year and the shoes with this type of mesh hold up. The more expensive model shoe has a different material that wore out at both sides of the foot. The treads are still good but my feet get snow in them when running. Good price too.
