The Little Big Book for Moms, 10th Anniversary Edition

I bought this for my daughter for her first Mother's Day...the reviews were very good on the book and I thought it would help her remember her first Mother's Day everytime she used this book! I also wanted the book might be something that would be useful and fun with her child. I was delighted when the book arrived and I went through it...it has so many things that I had forgotten about like words to songs and then the recipes and projects will be a great one-on-one bonding time between Mother & Child. I did not buy the 10th (2010)edition...I went with an older edition because it was only $1 and in case I wasn't happy with book I didn't want to have spent too much money. I'm not sure what might have been updated in the newer edition..I am not unhappy with my selection! I have recommended this book to a family member who is expecting two new editions to their family this summer!

As I and my wife were born and raised in South Korea and we are now in the US for my graduate study, we have no idea what we need to read for my kids. This book is really great reading book for our baby. It has great length of stories, tongue twisters, and songs (If you don't know the songs in this book, you can listen from Youtube.com.) This is one of our favorite book. Thank you.

I had already bought an earlier edition for my granddaughter, and ordered this one for a friend with a two-year-old. The pictures are fascinating for both children and adults. Guaranteed to keep grandparents and grandparents reading to the little ones and entertaining themselves at the same time. The quality of the pictures and the variety is superb. I highly recommend this book.

I gave this book to my daugther for her first Mother's Day and purchased it again as a shower gift for my niece. It is a sweet book with poems, songs, activities and stories. The pictures are very old looking and hearken to days gone by. My only criticism is that it has some songs and stories that are on the violent side (e.g. "Rock a Bye Baby") which may put some people off. I simply change some of the words or skip over them.

Gave this to my daughter in law for her first Mother's Day. My son actually called to say he loved it, gave him new ideas for songs to sing to his newborn baby. He looks forward to playing the games with her, and reading bedtime stories from the book. I also will be giving him the book for Dads for Father's day.

Recipes, rhymes, illustrations, extracts from stories - this book is a lovely resource for childhood and motherhood. It would make a great gift for a new Mum. It does follow some American conventions (well the clue is in the title!) such as slightly different measurements for recipes etc - however this doesn't detract from the quality of the book.

We got this book because it had almost all our childhood stories, poems, jokes, and much much more! only issue i had was the book is hard to hold with my hands because it's thick. especially if my kid is sitting on my lap

What a great piece of work!!! Has enabled me to read childhood memories to my own children. Try out ones I didn't Know an all around great experience to share with your growing family
