In 1935 Paul Sperry invented the world's first and most enduring boat shoe Where all other footwear brands have laid claim to every inch of terra firma, from the highest snowcapped peaks to the lowest desert valley, from baseball diamonds to basketball courts, Sperry Top-Sider has flourished by helping all who love the water master the world's final frontier -- the oceans, lakes and streams of Planet Earth

No wonder people wear these all the time?!
In the past, I always giggled at people that wore these shoes with every outfit. I told myself I'd never own a pair, or, it's just a trend that will pass.. Well, my in-laws recently purchased a new lake house and when I found these on Amazon for $27, I honestly bought them as a joke since my husband hates them! So, when they arrived and I put them on I was flabbergasted at how freaking comfortable they were?! Holy crap. And for reference, I'm a nurse and I like to think I've had my fair share of comfortable shoes but seriously, if wear these to work if I could!I will give you some size info to take with you though. I usually wear a women's 6.5-7, and originally ordered these in a big kid 5.5w. They were HUGE. I took a shot in the dark and reordered them in a 4.5w and they fit great! Even roomy enough to wear socks. Other reviewers stated they wore 6.5-7 women's and ordered a big kid 5m, and they were tight, so that's why I went with the w(wide) instead. Usually, kids shoes are more narrow than adult shoes since kids feet haven't spread out over time, and I didn't want to have tight fitting shoes. Overall, I'm extremely happy with my purchase and am now looking for a matching pair for my daughter!Additional info: I wear a 7 in Nike, 7.5 in Adidas, 5.5m big kids in Brooks, 7 in Uggs, 7 in Saucony and a 36 in Dansko!

My daughter was very unhappy when someone stole these!!
My daughter bought these shoes for her first year 9th grade in private school. From day one she loved them! She had them for over a year they stll looked good she didnt want a new pair because they were so comfortable. Unfortunately middle of 10th grade they were stolen! (yes I said stolen 18 month old shoes stolen! crazy right!) anyway went to the local shoestore to get another pair because she has to wear them and they just werent made the same!! And they were more expensive! Luckily I was able to go back in my purchase history and buy the exact same ones!! She is a happy camper and decided to borrow a pair until these came in. She did not like the ones in the store!! love these EVERYONE NEEDS A PAIR!

Sperry
I wear a women's 7 and ordered these for myself in the Big Kid 5 since these are $40 cheaper than the women's version. These are the same shoes as the women's Bluefish. Size is true. They're very comfortable. Cotton laces would be nice, but the rawhide looks good. They just shed everywhere. I'll be buying my toddler daughter a matching pair when it's closer to the proper season, at that point I'll edit my review for the toddler sizes.Update: I had my daughter's feet measured at a Stride Rite. She measured out just over 8, so I purchased these for her in the 8.5 so she's have some room. I had her wear them twice with socks then let her jump in puddles in them and allowed them to dry on her feet. They're a perfect fit are soft and give her no problems.

Cute but narrow; these are tie lace shoes, not slip-ons
Our son is semi-picky when it comes to shoes (he comes by it honestly). It's not due to social pressures of being in kindergarten but rather the "squeezing effect" dress/dress casual shoes have on his feet. When we received the shoe, despite the amazon description and numerous reviews stating it was a slip on, it was clear to see this was a tie lace shoe. GRRRRR! The 13 ended up being too big for his feet in length. The company we ordered from - HAYS INC - was TERRIFIC. Within 5 minutes of reaching out to them, they emailed me a pre-paid label to return/exchange the shoes, due to the slip-on misprint in amazon's description. Since the shoe seemed narrow, my wife called the company before deciding on an exchange. They were polite, patient, and eager to help over the phone. Not having wide widths in stock, we opted to exchange for a 12.5. Using thin socks allows our son to wear the shoes with minimal complaining, from him anyway. His big sisters are definitely envious of the Sperry shoes and complain they didn't get a pair. We were happy we scored a great brand at a great price ($34 total) from HAYS INC.

AMAZING BUY!
I bought these shoes for my 12 year old daughter for $28, and normally they are like $80+ so this was a good deal. She wears a women's size 7 and I first ordered a 6W and it was way too big, so i down-sized to a 5.5M, still a little big but she still needs to grow. I noticed the kids Sperry does not haveas much padding as the womens, but there still is enough padding to keep you comfy through-out the day. We were at the mall and it started to rain, and I thought she had ruined her Sperry's but, the rain actually got all the dirt off of them and her Sperrys dried back to normal. Overall superb shoe, would definitly reccommend.

Great product, great service
This is the third pair of bluefish shoes I've bought for my son in various sizes. I've always been happy with the product, but the effort to sign in and give the five stars is due in part to Amazon's amazing customer service. After about half a dozen wears, the cord that goes along the outside of the shoe broke for no apparent reason. Since he usually only wears them on Sundays, this put us at about a month past the end of our return window. However, within hours of emailing Amazon to see if we could get a replacement, they had overnighted another pair. We order a lot from Amazon, and their customer service is one of many reasons.

good shoes
I haven't actually worn mine yet since (if you don't own a boat) sperry's are more of a fall fashion shoe. I love that they come in big sizes. I wear a women's 8.5 and since they were all sold out of these in women's, I bought the big kid's 6.5W because it's the same as a men's 6.5 (and men's shoes are equivalent to women's if you go 2 sizes down), and they were wayyy cheaper than the women's, since they are for kids. There is no difference in the style though and its not like it says KID'S SHOE on it.. Definitely worth the buy.
