Really wanted to like these but...
I bought 2 of these, one to wash and one to wear. They have both been washed twice now... And both have holes already! I zip them up and turn them inside out to wash, and I only wash with other baby clothes. I really thought these would be great because I hear good things about this brand all the time. While I'm disappointed with the quality I'll continue to use the ones I bought as the holes are pretty superficial.

warm, light, and functional
Our child freed himself from his swaddle blanket and it ended up piled on top of his face. It scared me half to death and being a first time mom, I learned my lesson quickly. I bought 2 of these sleep sacks to replace using blankets in the crib. I was unsure of the size so I bought the small size in the cotton and the medium in the fleece. The small still had plenty of room for my 23 inch long child. The cotton material is light yet warm enough if the room is cool. The fleece is designed for fall/winter use. Its soft and warm but can still be used in the summer if you keep the air fairly cool. The medium gives quite a bit more length but it still fit him fine around the shoulders. I see no problem ordering a size larger so you can use it longer as the baby grows. The zipper on the bottom is a nice feature for changing him without unzipping it all the way, although out of habit I still search for the zipper on the top! I'm very happy with this product. My only wish is that they were a little less expensive.

100% recommend
These sleepsacks are the best! I transitioned my son from the swaddle sleepsack to this one so he could have his arms out around 3.5 months. I love that these zip from the top down so diaper changes are quick and easy while he's wearing it. My house stays around 68-70 degrees at night and I put my now 6 month old in a long sleeve onesie, socks and his sleepsack and it keeps him perfectly warm throughout the night. It's not too loose to wear it could go over his head or get him stuck anywhere but loose enough to allow him to pull it up and chew on it to self-soothe at night.I imagine once I transition him from our bedroom to his own crib this will also help him from getting stuck in the crib rails as well. I plan on keeping my son in a sleepsack until he can safely use a blanket.

much safer than blankets!
We love the sleep sack. It provides warmth and comfort to the baby without the fear of having loose blankets int he crib. The material is lightweight cotton, but could likely be used in winter too, provided your house remains 65-70 degrees FReason for 4 stars over 5: This says 0-6 months for 10-18 lbs but based on our experience, as well as a few other moms I know, it runs a little bigger than stated. We could not start using this on our son until he was over 13 lbs. Reason being, you do not want the armholes/neck to be big enough that fabric could bunch up over baby's mouth or nose. I wish they would also make a size "XS" for parents who want to use an alternative to swaddling from the beginning. The double zipper is great for diaper changes and the item holds up well in the wash. We plan to buy several more.

my baby loves this, sleeps through the night
I've been using Halo sleepsacks since my baby was born ( he is now 5 months) , and since we cant swaddle anymore, this wearable blanket is perfect! its so soft and flowy and makes nighttime diaper changes much easier. its also a lightweight material so baby wont overheat. My son is very long and skinny (15 lbs 26 in) , so the only downside is that the sizing is slightly off, and he doesn't have the leg room I wish he had.

Love it... Get a bigger size
At the hospital, when my son was born was when I first learned about swaddling, yes, I was that naive. And after bringing him home we quickly realized that the best and only way to get him to sleep was to swaddle him (poor thing, his hands moving used to startle him!)After he was about 3-4 months old, we realized that our swaddle blankets were running too short for our growing baby (we had thoughts of using the bed sheets ;) ) This sleep blanket was the perfect solution! This really helped transition him out of the swaddling phase and still gave him a somewhat secure feeling and of course kept him warm. The material is light and comfy and does well in the washer.I would suggest getting a bigger size than you think you need, it does run a bit short PLUS you can use it for longer. A winner in my book!
