All but one of the stones was detached from the crown when I received it, but that was nothing that a little super glue couldn't handle. The metal pieces aren't all perfectly shaped, so it is difficult to get thee holes in them to line up. The spaces where you need to get your fingers in to try to tighten the nuts onto the screws are so small that you can't truly tighten them down. People with large fingers will have great difficulty getting this piece assembled. I do fear the nuts coming loose and popping off and my cats swallowing them. Perhaps I can get an extremely small crescent wrench and a tiny screwdriver to get them tightened down better. It took me about half an hour to assemble. My 14 pound cat is sitting on it presently and it appears to be alright.As for the appearance, it does look nice with my other wrought iron decor in my living room. The bed is not nearly as ugly as other reviewers have described it, but it would be pretty easy to recover should you decide to use another material.

I was a tad leery about purchasing this item just because the price was so low. I thought it had to be too good to be true. However, I did purchase one and was blown away when I received my package. This bed's construction is solid, one or two of the jewels on the crown were loose but nothing a little hot glue couldn't fix. I love crafting, so I actually changed them all out for stones I liked better anyway.The bed was somewhat annoying to put together by myself but I got it done in relatively little time. I do think having another person there to help would have made the process much easier. I purchased this for a newborn portrait photography project. I get so many compliments from new parents when I use it. The bed padding is not very thick. I used some fancy fabric to make it look prettier and a bit softer. I also added some sheer organza to the top corners to make it look like a canopy. It really added that extra touch. In the future I may also paint it to a distressed vanilla or copper patina. For the price, the options are basically endless when it comes to customizing it later.

I thought that this bed looked look like it did in the ad, like the idea that the dogs cannot chew it and ruin the cuteness! The print cushion part of the bed is soft, I wrap it in other material for the look that I want and will make covers for it one of these days or will upholster a piece of wood and cushion for the look that I want. Plan on making 'bed curtains' for it to enhance the looks. My husband put it together fast! Would buy again and suggest if you like a cute, metal bed where you will have to do something with the cushion that comes with it (for the price, this can be easily customize to what you want it to be) then this may be a bed to consider! It can be dressed really cutely and I have seen some for sale that have been customized for up to $200.00 range so at this price and to do the custom work yourself or by a friend is well worth it! My dogs like it too!

It came in exactly 2 days!!! Super fast- free shipping! It's very beautiful. I wouldn't suggest putting more than a 10 pound pet on it though as its made perfectly for around 5-8 pounds. Mine will be used for my daughter who passed and is coming home from the taxidermist soon! So I won't be able to say if it's sturdy for a live animal but I put pressure on it after setting up and it seems great ! Only problem is one of the stones on the crown was glued messed up but other than that it's perfect with a great price!! Cheapest/nicest I've found. You can easily change the material on the pillow yourself or even put a different pillow if you please, along with spray painting it if you don't want it black. I added 5 pictures to help give you an idea.

Simple to put together, but the screws were challenging to tighten. The awful cheetah print cushion is flat and hard so it will be covered with a better fabric and used as a box spring for the softer, washable cushion that I prefer. Overall, good for the price. I purchased 2 of these beds, one for upstairs and one for downstairs. The other bed is missing a jewel that fell off during delivery, I suspect. Otherwise, would have given this product 5 stars.

I bought this bed to do a photo shoot for our little newborn girl. I put it together and sprayed the whole thing gold, it looked really cute! However, my mom and I had one heck of a time putting it together. The holes didn't line up and we had to do some major bending with the iron to it put together. So the assembly of this product is terrible. Also, the mattress (which we put a nice cozy blanket over for the pics) was warped because the cardboard underneath was warped. Now having said that, there are other pet beds out there (that definitely look fancier than this one) that are 5 times the cost of this one so...for the cost and the look that is why I gave it 3 stars instead of one.

My 5 lb and 8 lb papillions love their new bed.I also bought a mini faux shag sheepskin from IKEA to covered the leopard cushion that came with the bed. Then I put a small electric heat pad under that.This is a small bed for smaller dogs. Both of mine can lay on it nicely.The jewels fell off the crown top, but you can glue them back on or get funkier jewels at Beadazzle and glue them on.IThe bed is a little difficult to put together, but I did it in 25 mins.Its really cute and made of sturdy metal. Great piece of furniture for your home, for a great price $40. I recommend it.

Received my bed in 2 days. Was super excited as it was arriving at my door when i was leaving for work.. Was at work all day thinking about it, and came home to my boyfriend and 3yr old daughter had already put it together.. It actually looks better in person than in this photo, bigger too! Not a fan of the pillow it came with, but with my crafty self i am gonna bedazzle my baby be out. She's a Maltipoo we haven't gotten her yet, but she's going to come home to warm welcoming when we do!
