Worth Your Bottom dollar
I bought a new computer on my vacation just so I could play this game. I guess I've come full circle. I got away from computer games because the graphics weren't very good and on the advanced games, the play was choppy. I don't think I will ever play xbox again. The graphics are clearer and it's just so much better than the console. Now, the only thing I have to complain about is the play itself. You have to be careful about not coming into a city after 8 pm as the NPC's are too stupid to run from vampires and they always seem to get killed. I have a thing about seeing innocent characters out of the game, I guess I just want the game to play out without deaths of innocents. Yes, I know it's just a game and the NPC's are just window dressing, but hey, I've got my vices! Adding the ability to build my own house and Hey! Why is it so hard to find enough goat horns for the lights?! You'll know what I mean when you play the game. All the add-ons really flesh out skyrim and it definitely makes it the best game I've ever played. There are a few bugs I've had, which have forced me to backtrack the game to make things right but they are annoyances at best. Overall, you'll probably find it as good as I did. One thing though, the Dragonborn theme. I really can't say I like it at all. Visiting an island with giant mushrooms and finding black books really suck. It reminds me of what eating a peyote cactus must be like. Overall, I can't give this less than a 5 star. Definitely the best game out there, even if it's getting older. I just hope they keep producing add-ons! UPDATE>>>I also want to add about modding the game: it changes the whole experience, making it a 100 times better than before. Go to nexus, download nexus mod organizer, (Not nexus manager, it can mess up your game!) and once you've learned to use it, you can change the game, big time: different weapons, armor, dozens of new followers, you can get new house, quests. There's even an adult theme where you can make character's bodies closer to realistic ones, you can even make them walk around nude if that's your thing. But if you can think it, chances are there's something on the nexus that can make it happen. If you have enough ram, you can even make the graphics a dozen times better. Try it, you'll love it!

Great game if you like roaming the wilderness
First video game I have ever played so I can't compare it to anything else. Took me two weeks to get it installed on a MacBook Pro but that's mostly my fault. Why this game? Happen to hear part of the soundtrack on Pandora and I liked what I heard so eventually (after ~6 months) decided to find out more about where this great music came from. Discovered the game on Amazon and the price was right so I thought what the heck. I'm hooked and even purchased additional copies for my two daugthers. And, now we all have something in common to talk about which is also a great side benefit. As a senior citizen (over 65), video games have not been my thing but the beautiful mountainous scenery does remind me of my youth backpacking in the wilderness, including extended trips throughout the High Sierras. This game brings back fond memories of those times. I really like the fact that my avatar can wonder off in any direction and just explore. The wealth of free mods available (40,000+) to customize the game has also been fun to play with though I've only tried a few. I'm still only at level 4 after an entire month of playing so I still have a lot to learn. All the game terminology (like leveling, NPC, mod, DLC, ENB, AI, etc.) took some time to get use to but I'm getting there. Even though the game has been out for almost 4 years, I highly recommend it to anyone who loves to go hiking in the wilderness. Works pretty well on older PC/Mac's like my 2011 MacBook. An external 2-button mouse is pretty much a must. The built-in track pad (esp. on a Mac) is difficult to use with this game. I run the game on a BootCamp partition loaded with Windows 8.1 entirely dedicated to this game, so I have disabled all unnecessary background services (like filesystem indexing and background virus scanning) to improve performance somewhat. Make sure you allocate at least 70 Gbs to the BootCamp partition. Resizing is almost impossible to do after the fact because the Mac filesystem partitioning scheme isn't all that Windows friendly. Skyrim is a 32-bit executable so there's no need to support more than 4 Gbs of memory but a fast GPU with 1 Gb of video memory is a real plus. Tip: I often set the TDETECT console command to disable AI detection so I'm not bothered by various creatures and bandits trying to attack my avatar every 5 minutes. It allows you to simply explore the beautiful landscape and enjoy the great views.

It arrived quick, intact, without a flaw on the disk. It plays well, and it handles the mods that I install, while also keeping a fresh copy whenever I wanna get rid of it and reinstall the game.

El juego es increíble, se disfruta mucho en tiempos de ocio. Pero el estado del envío es lamentable, la caja del juego llegó aplastado.
