The ultra thin and sleek bottle cage is the lightest of Ibera's bottle cages, weighing only 29g, constructed from lightweight heat-treated aluminum alloy. Other bottle cages usually weigh from 40g to 70g. The bottle cage is light, but still has the strength of a regular bottle cage. The oval and ergonomic design helps to strengthen its hold, keeping bottles securely in place while providing easy access for riders. Great for rides around town or for touring. At only 29 grams, it is perfect for those who want a stylish cage to lighten their load as they ride. 2 glossy finishes in a carbon pattern and white and 2 matte finishes in black and silver make it easy to match bikes of all colors. Specifications: Material: Heat-treated aluminum plate. Weight: 29 g (1 oz.). Dimensions: 4.5" x 3" x 3.5". Note: Not for rough or off-road riding.

Cheap Rubber Triangle ripps with any force
So I bought 2 of these holders with the intent on putting them behind my seat. When I installed them they seemed to work great. When I read reviews I saw people complain about how the screws would come loose and they weren't a great water bottle holder. But I had to give it a shot myself. After I installed them and went for a ride, I put empty bottles in them and found them to work great. I left the bottles empty not thinking a full bottle would make a difference. Come race day, I had loaded my full bottles in the cages and about 10 miles in the rubber triangle piece holding the sides together ripped in half and I lost one of the bottles. By the time I finished my 25 mile race, my second cage triangle had ripped and my bottle fell out while I was walking my bike back to my rack. So I would not recommend using these cages for a behind the seat due to the construction of how the sides are pinched together. I did not try putting them on my crossbar, and maybe that is the only place they were intended to be used.

Great cage, needs minor mods
I bought these in 2014 and again in 2018; so: they last about four years of hard use before something goes wrong, like the rubber part detaching. This is fine in my book: they look good and are superb value. However, as others have pointed out, the paint will come off and mark your bottles: horrible! I have gotten around this by sticking small strips of velcro (industrial strength adhesive) on the interior (see photo). This seems to work very well. You can't see the velcro when there is a bottle in the cage. Tip: use the fluffy part of the velcro, not the hooked side. If cost is no object you will probably want to look elsewhere but if -- like me -- your riding is on a budget, these are a great choice.

Lighyweight. Looks great. Easy install.
Quick shipping (PRIME). This product looks amazing and I honestly thought the package was empty it's so light! I currently have a bottle that's a little heavy in place, but I'm not a competitive rider so I don't care... I do know it holds the bottle just fine even with the additional weight.

look great and light, but finish is NOT durable.
I purchased two of these, carbon paint pattern, for my carbon fiber Ridley x-fire bike (a cyclocross bike, but I only ride it on the road with bottles; when doing cross, I don't carry water bottles). I ride my bike in nice weather conditions mainly, only rarely getting caught in the rain; I don't commute with it.I love the finish, the red accents on carbon fiber look is very nice. I use camelback podium bottles, which fit nicely. Have no problems putting them in or out, and have probably about 1500 miles with them now (about 9 months of use). They are very light. The only issue I am having is that the paint does come off where the bottle rubs the holder with repeated use at contact points, leaving bare metal. It has not rusted, it is alloy so hopefully it won't. It is minor, and I am still using them, but if you are particular you might consider looking elsewhere. See the pics I posted.I have not had problems with the durability of the aluminum itself (two other reviews mentioned the bottom piece bending/breaking over time), probably because I only set my podium bottles in gently, and don't push them to the bottom (makes them easier to pop in and out while riding). So YMMV depending on usage style.

Worked out well with my frame.
I purchased the Ibera bottle cages for my road bike. While not carbon fiber, they are cost effective and relatively light weight. My favorite "feature" is the little metal tab at the bottom of the cage (that supports the bottom of the water bottle). My Trek frame's mounting holes are a bit too close to the top tube for oversized Camelbak water bottles (the 25 oz size). Since the tabs are metal, I was able to slightly bend them making enough room for my bottles. The little piece of rubber that holds the outsides of the water bottle cage together in the middle has enough "give" to allow for easy access to my bottles while riding. If the cage had been carbon fiber or even hard plastic, they would not have worked as well.

Great for the price and sleek-looking
These bottle cages are a nice addition to your bike, but they are a bit shorter than other's I've had making it so that long bottles butt up to the frame of the bike below the saddle. Measure your bottles to make sure they fit well. Other than that, they are great. I will have to see how the finish holds up. They are made of metal-like material but the connector is a hard plastic. Again, I'll just have to see how this mechanism holds up too, because on the previous cages I've had the connector piece is the first to fail.

Very secure bottle holder
If your main concern is weight, this is definitely the bottle holder for you. I can't imagine a lighter holder that is sturdy. You can easily bend it to fit your bottle size, and it will hold it very securely. I forgot to take my bottle out when I put it on the bike rack, and it was still on the bike when I got home. I drove through 5 miles of construction with tight curves and huge bumps and holes at 60mph, so I was amazed it was still there. It seems pretty much unbreakable as well. The only drawback I can think of, is because I have it set so securely, it's a little hard to pull the bottle out while riding, but that's much better than it falling out when I hit a bump. I just ordered a second one to mount to my handlebars for easier access, as I already tested that this will hold smaller bottles tightly as well as normal sized ones. Mine came in an envelope rather than a box; and although it wasn't damaged, I would have preferred a box.

Good value, light weight, highly recommend!
These are really good looking in the “carbon look” color. They go well with my black/red Giant mtb. I’ve ridden with these for about 1900 miles. The pattern does tend to wear at the top where you put the bottles in. Bottles fit well. The bottom tab that holds the bottles in has started to bend, most likely because of the amount of bumpy dirt trails I have ridden. They have held up really well, and I would recommend them. I didn’t buy these for the weight savings, as my bike weighs over 32 lbs, but they are durable and super light.

I'm quite pleased with the quality of these
I purchased two of these for my road bike.I'm quite pleased with the quality of these. When I took them out of the packing the first thing that struck me was just how little they weigh. My bottle fit really snugly in the cages and there is no way they would fall out during a ride.An added bonus is that the colours fit nicely with the colours of my bike.

Great weight, but fragile
I've been pretty impressed with these bottle cages-they look great and do their job well, but are definitively not the strength of a 'normal' weight holder. Last week the bottom lip snapped off mid ride - I just checked and it was almost exactly a year ago I bought it. TBH given the low cost and weight, I'm prepared to replace every year, but if you're not, or want to use them for anything other than Road bike use (Mountain, CX etc), I'd probably look elsewhere for something more robust.

Perfect bottle cages
Excellent, lightweight bottle cage. Can't say much more about it. I bought 2 to put on my carbon road steed, they hold my bottles well and I've had no issues with retention. It's essentially thin alloy fingers with a 'Chinese finger trap' rubberized link between them which helps to accommodate slightly different width bottles. It's had moderate use (3-4 times a week) since purchase with no problems at all. I recommend it.

Good but not great.
Good product but often bottle would slip out riding over bumps. So I would consider an alternative if you go on rough terrain. Something which grips the bottle better.

Good quality
Very happy with this bottle holder, good value for money. I've had it for over a year now and it's still as good as new. Easy to mount, durable and nice design.
