UPDATED October 2015------------------------------------I purchased 2 sets of these wash cloths. One set in black and another in the brown-Mocha.The BLACK washcloths still look fine. We use one of them nearly every day and they are still soft and there aren't any threads or problems with them.The MOCHA washclothes are still useful but have faded and aren't as soft. I do use them in the kitchen though for washing dishes whereas the Black are used on us.I'm about to order another set and while brown would be preferable, I will be buying more Black.==============================================================I was divided as to whether get these 'face' towels or some others that were cheaper, and I'm glad I got these.Others might use them as face towels but what I wanted were washcloths for the kitchen. These are going to work fine.WHAT YOU MIGHT WANT TO KNOWThese towels did NOT fade in the wash; nor they need a color grabber sheet in the laundry. They didn't 'leak' dye.These little towels are plush and have a decorative band on each end.They are also bound on all four sides.They shrunk in the wash. What came out of the dryer was 11.5 x 11.5 inches... slightly wider at the center.These are nice black washcloths/face towels for the money.

I wanted something sturdy, soft, well sized and BLACK and these are perfect. I prefer black to anything else for my kitchen wash cloths. I'm the type that uses a scrubby to wash dishes and a cloth to wipe up spills and such. But I always disliked the obvious stains on what you know is a clean cloth. That is going to happen in a kitchen no matter what. So - BLACK is the key :-)I put them in the wash before I used them. They wash nicely. A little puckering, but not too severe. These are Wash Cloths! NOT towels. They are 13X13 inches square - so I know some reviewers have complained about the use of the word "towel" (which we associate with drying as opposed to washing) but I wouldn't use them as towels - too small.Now . . . would I use these on my face? YES! They are quite soft and I wouldn't hesitate to use these in the bath. That won't be where I use them, but if you're looking to have a set on hand, these will do the job. I'm very pleased.

I ordered the black towels to use as a matt on my kitchen countertop to protect the granite surface. My countertop is actually a dark green, but I like the black color since it does not contrast so much with the dark green color. Now it blends when I use these on the countertop for pots and pans ceramic plates. So my application is probably different than what most people's use is.Now that I have seen just how good the quality is, I think I want to buy another set for my bathrooms. I need to search to determine if there are matching bath towel sets because I am very impressed with the quality - and the price isn't bad either. However, I cannot seem to find the exact same pattern design.

These are washcloths, not towels. However, they are very nice, but if you are looking for a larger size, these are not them. The description was misleading to me.

I use these towels to wash makeup off of my face. Very nice quality. I’ve had them for almost a year and wash them in hot water and vinegar. Holding up nicely, still look new.

This is the second time I've purchased these. They are nice and thick, not cheap looking. The color stands up to many washings. We run a guest house and I provide these to guests for make-up removal. Saves my pristine white towels from stains and adds a classy touch to the rooms.

These really are beautiful face cloths however do they ever stop shedding? I have these little black specs on my face every time after I use them..also I didn't buy these very long ago and I noticed that the price went up $10!*Update*They have finally stopped shedding,they are fading now in color but still nice and plush. I purchased these in July at $40 now they have raised in price $30!!
