Get the correct SDHC card for this camera
I just received this Bushnell Model 119676 trail camera. I also received a 32 gB SanDisk memory card that was recommended on the Amazon web page with the camera. I found out (after a lot of trial and error) that this card does not work with the camera set on HD mode. I verified this with another SD card that I took out of my Handycam video camera. The SD card that I received with the trail camera has a rating of Class 4, while the one in my Handycam is Class 10. So, if you order this Bushnell trail camera, be sure to order a Class 10 Ultra SDHC card. There is nothing on the Amazon page to indicate which SDHC card is the correct one to order. I just wasted $18 and a lot of time with the wrong SDHC card.

Great trail cam
I like the camera I bought. It is better than last years model and only requires 8 batteries. I use recharge-able batteries and they are holding up well. The pictures can be fuzzy at times, but I can still tell if it's a buck or doe. It has never spooked a deer, unlike my infrared camera which has. I haven't tried the video, but my older camera, I had to find software to run it. I ended getting Any video converter to allow me to see the videos. I don't get the cameras for the video, I just want pictures of the deer in my area to hunt. I am ready to buy another one. Both of my Bushnell's have been great.

Does the job but requires patience
This takes clear daylight pictures and video. Night time shots are ok -- and only ok. If the animal is too close, it gets whited out. If the animal is too far away, you can just see their eyes glowing. Set up was easy enough. But I seem to have a lot of missed shots which I think are triggered by the trees and bushes moving in the wind. There is a lot of trial and error with set up -- only deer ears, then only deer legs! If you have time and patience I think you can manage to get good pictures and videos.

Video clips will not open in any viewer.
The .jpg still images, in camera mode are spectacular!..... However..... I have not yet been able to view ANY of the videos. I have tried multiple video viewing programs, even downloaded the video viewer "DivX" from a third party site, and still cannot get them to open. I tried using the Format option on the Bushnell Trophy Cam and still nothing. I am running a brand new Windows based computer with Windows XP Pro. If all you want are pictures, this camera gives great still images. If you want video, you better be ready to work your way through hours of troubleshooting.

when they work they are awesome but i have noticed reoccurring problems
i have 8 bushnell cameras. when they work they are awesome but i have noticed reoccurring problems. my biggest complaint has been that during night time photography the camera will suddenly just take photos every 45 seconds for the entire night taking 500 to 600 photos. when you call them about this problem they talk down to you on the phone always claiming it is your fault because they do not want to spend the money. product is good, customer service policy is horrible

You Would Expect Newer Models To Be Better...No So
I own two of the Bushnell 5 MP models of their trail camera, bought when they first came out a few years ago. I bought this model a couple of weeks ago and have been greatly disappointed in this new 8MP model, in that the quality and clarity of the night images make them almost useless, with or without the ARD. Grainy doesn't even begin to describe how poor the imagery is. The daytime images are clear but it looks to me like the colors are enhanced and almost too vivid in comparison to normal 8 MP camera images. The night images on the older models are crystal clear, sharp as can be, and are probably true 5 MP images, just black and white. This new model puts out images that are so grainy you can't tell much about the rack on a buck and it would be impossible to determine enough detail in a human image to aid you or law enforcement in identifying poachers or trespassers. Save your money and invest it elsewhere.

I have been using these cameras for several weeks now with good results so far
I had a Bushnell camera several years ago prior to someone stealing it from private property. Hence why I also purchased the Python cable! I have been using these cameras for several weeks now with good results so far. Let me get about six months of use to provide a better review.

It works fine in the daytime but night time pictures are poor
It works fine in the daytime but night time pictures are poor. I own 14 other Bushnell Trophy cameras and expected much more out of this camera as it cost a fair amount more. The regular trophy cams take much better night time pictures than this camera does. I also have the Trophy cam black flash models and they are also much better than this camera. Why the step backwards in QUALITY BUSHNELL ?

A bit clunkey. Some images better than others. I don't think I would recommend this camera.
I have had this camera for a few months now. I spent weeks experimenting at home and field testing with mixed results. Used in the open with no moving objects in range that would set the camera off before a subject came in range and with good natural lighting and all the camera settings on the highest, slowest, brightest and largest, you do get some good images. For reasons best known to the camera, out of 8 images taken 2 would be all black, not showing any image but picking up sounds or 2 of the images would be a dark green. This seems to happen when the camera has been at idle for a couple of hours. The cameras reaction time to take an image seems very slow. I placed the camera 8 feet from my bin but found I was able to walk to the bin, put an item in the bin and start to walk away before the camera takes an image. This slow reaction may account for some images not showing any subject, The camera is quite large and even though it is coated in a neutral sage green it is quite conspicuous, making theft of the camera a real possibility.

Video and Pictures taken were acceptable mostly taken at night with good resolution. Video format is AV1 which is not ...
The camera arrived in quick time, the setup was o/k once you got used to the cursor buttons. The Menu settings were fairly straight forward but It was worth noting that the Menu time setting also included the date setting, it was noted that the time and date settings were lost if the batteries were removed. The time on the Video files taken is displayed in year-month-day format.Video and Pictures taken were acceptable mostly taken at night with good resolution.Video format is AV1 which is not compatible with IOS (ipad) and therefore will have to be converted to format mp4 in order to play on ipad also will have to be loaded from PC to ipad using itunes.Battery life experienced when taking approx. 60 Videos of 20 seconds duration (20 minutes) required the Batteries to be changed.A problem noted was water ingress into the Camera battery compartment. In summary the Pictures and Video taken were quiet acceptable although the Battery life using Duracell Batteries was a little shorter than expected. The Camera has been returned due to the Water ingress problem. The purchase price was refunded after one month from notifying the vendor Camera King of the water problem. Will probably look for a different camera as a replacement.
