I haven't had a kids shoe last this long EVER. Seems to grow with the kid, probably due to back ankle strap being so easily adju
My mom got my daughter a pair of these in purple awhile back. I wasn't immediately drawn to them, they didnt bring out the "awwwwwww!" In me that some shoes will. Of course, those shoes rarely end up being a hit with her.As summer came through, she grabbed these to quickly throw on to walk to see her mimaw one day, & these were probably the first open toe sandal that didn't bring her to tears, ha. She's not a fan of thong sandals but the open toe tended to not stay in a comfy position and made her frustrated.Well there's something about these that makes that a non issue. It's probably the back strap that makes her back of foot feel like it isn't sliding. Both straps are adjustable to all new levels. She has been a size 11 to a size 13 and worn these through each size change. We were on summer #3 with the old pair when the velcro piece of the toe strap came loose. It still worked, but the fabric that came loose would dangle and get on her nerves. So I found these and she wanted to try "pink."20 bucks is a lot to me to spend on a young kid's shoe; my kids tend to fly right past any shoe size I've over spent on, Haha! But when I consider how long she was able yo wear the other pair, and how much it comfortably adjusted as her size increased, I almost feel like I got 3 pair for 20 bucks, you know?I considered getting a size up but she is so comfy in the current size that had the strap wear, I just stuck with that.I worried the last pair were a fluke, but she popped this pair on and was as comfy as before, if not more so, simply due to these being a whole new pair to put some wear Into.I am gonna add a photo to show you the signs of wear on the pair we replaced compared to the new pair. Even with the strap coming loose, they held up. I believe I'll be able to repair this and she will be able to keep them around for muddy play shoes. Really happy. It's been a very long time since I've come across kids shoes that can go through size changes and tons and tons of use and still be going when minor parts start showing wear. Wow.

Comfortable sandal for my daughter with great adjustable ankle and foot straps
I was looking for a summer sandal for my daughter with adjustable ankle and toe straps. She wears an 11.5 so I ordered a 12. Most sandals I purchase tend to run small (like Keens for example), so I did not know what to expect. I was happy to see these are somewhat large so she'll have the summer to grow into them. I held them up to a pair of her size 12 athletic shoes and the soles of these sandals are longer and wider. I could have actually gotten away with ordering an 11 in the sandal, but I want her to wear them for awhile and the straps do a great job of holding her foot in. She's only worn them twice now so I can't justify giving them 5 stars yet until we see how the material holds, etc. With many sandals we see the material start to come apart so I will repost after longer wear. They are comfortable for her though so at this point I'd recommend them. If your child is in half sizes I think going up is just fine. Even though they run somewhat large, the ankle and foot straps do a great job of keeping the foot in.

Top strap runs VERY SMALL. Be careful in size selection if your child has (normal) wide baby feet
Received box crushed, see pics. This damaged the product a little but not too much that it was unwearable, just small surface Mark's, which are no big deal as they're for a toddler and would have those Mark's within 3 minutes of putting them on anyway. HOWEVER,the fit was bad. To the point where I purchased a size 7 shoe, for my toddler who can still fit a size 6, and they were so small the skin of his feet are pinched at the top step, and that's with having the velcro as far out as it could go, and still be securely attached.Because the box was crushed, theres no practical way to return them, and trying to hunt down a box, pack it, get to the post office to return it would be a ridiculous hassle with small children.I understand that the crushed box and minor damage may not be the sellers fault. But not packaging the item properly for shipment IS an issue. Throwing a shoebox in a plastic bag and shipping with no packing material for an item that can easily break in half/split/crack- as it is foam and that's what foam does under pressure.. is the sellers issue. I suppose I have to take a loss on this item as returning it will be beyond a hassle due to the poor packaging, though at least I can donate it and some size 5 shoed toddler can have a brand new pair of 'size 7' sandals that fit perfectly. I am truly disappointed as I was looking forward to these matching several of his outfits, and getting plenty of use (as we are in the desert). The shoe *does* look exactly as pictured and feels like good quality, this the 2 stars even though the front strap is too small and the poor packaging makes it difficult to return.

Decent price for a decent pair of sandals
These were a good alternative to the Nike sandals we usually buy. The price was much better than the Nike. We have had them a week or so and they seem to be holding up fine. Looks like we could hose them off easily after outdoor play--which was something I was looking for. I will mention this--my son tried to kick them off with his feet without unfastening them all the way at the ankle. This caused the strap to pop out of the hole in the base--the strap is not sewn or glued to the base as I have seen with other sandals we have owned. My husband managed to pop the two pieces back together, but the strap has popped out again since. I think this problem has more to do with how my son treated the sandal than a flaw in the sandal design--but be warned if you have lazy kiddos that don't stop to take their sandal off properly.
