Skechers USA Men's Relaxed Fit Memory Foam Superior Melvin Loafer

If you're looking for a very light, breathable shoe you can wear all day with jeans or any other casual attire, this is your shoe. This is my second pair and they feel extraordinarily comfortable for the first couple of months. The "memory foam" will compress after a few months or many miles of walking so they don't last that long, but they are awesome until that happens. After the foam loses its loft they are still comfortable, but you have to be careful over rocks or other rough ground because the soles start to feel so thin you'll feel the terrain beneath your shoes. But it will take months of serious wear for this to happen, and when it does, the quality and comfort are high enough that you'll want to pick up a new pair. Look for them on sale for half of retail (which is what I paid) and buy two pair!

After purchasing one pair of the Melvin loafer, and wearing it for about a month, I decided to purchase 5 more pair in various colors for wardrobe matching and as backups, since you never know when a manufacturer is going to cease making something that might be your favorite. Without question, this is the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn, and is in a style which goes well with extremely casual, all the way up to business casual. Very versatile look. The memory foam insoles are like walking on marshmallow pillows. They also provide great arch support (I have high arches) and are so light weight, you hardly realize you are wearing a shoe. Wow. My feet have never been so pampered. Can't begin to describe how sensational they feel. I have also purchased Skechers Go Walk which are close, in comfort but tend to run a bit smaller than standard. But they are not quite as comfy as the Melvin. There are also some other Relaxed Fit models, such as their "Dario", "Diamondback", and "Naven" models, which are close in comfort but not quite as much as the Melvin (but even at that, these other models are still far more comfortable than the majority of competing brands). Overall, Skechers has created some of the most comfortable casual shoes over the last 15 years, that I have ever experienced. Anytime I run across a new model in shoe stores, I always try them on and have rarely been disappointed with their extremely comfortable casual shoes. Although, I have not tried any of their sneakers or athletic shoes.

Sketchers advertises these as over-sized, and that is accurate. I wear a 12W shoe with Nike, Reebok, Timberland, Florsheim,and most everything else I have worn for 30 years (minus cowboy boots). The Sketcher's Melvin, I wear an 11 medium, that fit perfectly (glad I tried them on at the store first). They are the most comfortable shoes I think I have ever owned. This is my 2nd pair of the Melvins (canvas); I have rotated these with the taupe in the same model all season. They are holding up much better than expected, and still just as comfortable as the day I bough them. The Melvins are identical in size, fit, and memory foam insole, to the Sketcher's Gains (leather loafers); which are a great shoe for casual dress and the office. Between the Melvins and the Gains, my feet haven't felt this good in years. I only hope Sketchers comes out with a hiking boot with this exact combination of size, fit, and insole by the time fall hits. If they read the reviews, I will take a pair in black leather and a canvas pair.

A friend of mine had these. I was looking at the time for some new comfortable shoes for work. The memory foam in side is just enough so your foot fits like a glove inside the shoe. The bottoms, however are made of what appears to be some foam material that feels like between rubber bottoms and the sole of a tennis shoe. If you look at the bottoms, there are a couple of solid rubber strips if you will- for lack of a better term. They look great. Dark charcoal matches all my jeans. So far the comfort far outweighs the dockers and doc martins I have. My only concern will be how long they'll last. I plan to do a lot of walking in these. But for the price, off the internet - fits as expected, comfortable as expected and shipping was fast. No complaints here.

These shoes are so comfortable I look forward to wearing them. Although I was sent a different color then I ordered, I am so pleased with them that I decided to keep the ones sent and ordered another pair. My concern is that with wear the may stretch out as I wear them. As with most people, I have one foor slightly larger than the other one. On the shorter foot, the shoes are slightly slipping but that is probably due more to my anatomy than with a problem of the shoe. I have very flat feet. If you need a lot of arch support this shoe isn't for you. Otherwise, I am really happy with the shoes.. I usually wear a 10D or a 10 1/2 D. I ordered the 10 1'2 and they are perfect. This is the 2nd time I was sent the wrong color so that is the only negative but the shoes themselves are terrific.

very comfortable shoes, light as a feather.going to buy another pair.UPDATE:I'm a big guy, 6'2" 250 #'sBroke my right ankle 3 times and had surgery on it to repair once. My feet seem to always hurt and I've learned to live with it. After wearing these shoes for a couple of days and after walking in them at a fair for a couple of hours I am amazed. My feet did not hurt at all. My right ankle, which always seems a little testy also had no pain. The last couple of summers I seem to have been wearing crocs all the time, These shoes have replaced my crocs forever.highly recommend

Very light, you barely notice you are wearing them. However, the style makes wearing short socks that show look less than ideal. Looks much better going barefoot or wearing no-show socks. Since I hate wearing shoes without socks, I decided to try some no-show socks and found some with great reviews and they work wonderfully and can't tell I'm wearing socks.The only issue I have is that there is no arch support at all. This is to be expected with these types of shoes though. I'll probably purchase an insert to help with that.

Have you never worn Sketchers, get with the programme people, a treat for your feet.

I wouldn't normally buy shoes over the internet, but took a chance this time. These skechers are everything the ad said they were. The fit was true, and they were comfortable right out of the box. Wore them now for a week, and they just keep getting better. You can't go wrong here.

Amazon.ca offered these great mens fashion forward skechers at a great price. This will be a fantastic gift. The appearance is so nice but you can also see the durability is quality. Great purchase.

These fit but they are a little small, still stretching them out.... I had to wash then and now I'm back to stretching them out again.

These shoes are the second lot I have ordered. The first one lasted years. Very comfortable and very hard wearing. I'm still using the old ones for when doing garden work.
