Exceptional qulity and easy installation
I investigated several quality brands before settling on the Hansgrohe for our kitchen faucet upgrade. I read all the good and not so good reviews of many and settled on this Hansgrohe. All I can say is I am in very good graces with the wife. She loves the design and look. Yes, it does take a few days to re-learn the function of the control. Yes, like other reviewers, she would also like the spray feature to toggle back to stream without turning off the faucet which resets the discharge to stream but that too is a learning process and is now not an issue. However, we have discovered this locking spray feature does help contain the splashing when our three year old grandson visits and helps Nana wash dishes. The quality is excellent as expected in a faucet of this price. Please ignore any reviews that talk about the pull-down head sagging from the body as these reviews are likely from men who do NOT read installation instructions. The design of the receiver combined with properly installing the hose weight will secure the head just fine. Also, reviews that speak of needing three inches of clearance behind the faucet to the backsplash for operation of the control arm again, are from those who have installed the faucet backwards-the control goes on the right people! The supply lines already connected to the faucet are of sufficient length so any standard installation will not require added lines to reach the plumbing connections. Once the old leaking PricePfister was out the new Hansgrohe was installed in less than 10 minutes-again MEN if you read and follow the instructions. We did not select the high arch model given we have a nine inch deep undermount sink and the standard height (as noted in the product specifications) would be acceptable for most applications-really, how many of you out there are truly gourmet, or ranch cooks (e.g. Duggar families with 19+kids) needing to fill stock pots over 16 inch tall.

Superior Quality Faucet!
After searching far and wide for an attractive, well-engineered faucet for my new kitchen counter top, I found the Hansgrohe Allegra E Gourmet Premium! The faucet is beautifully designed and operates smoothly. The pull down faucet is high quality and sprayer works very nicely. This is a superior faucet and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone who wants to add a real touch of class to their kitchen. While it is more costly than some of the other similar designs, none compare to this faucet. This faucet is worth every penny! I expect it will be a favorite feature of our kitchen for years to come! I cannot say enough good things about it. If you are considering this faucet, then look no further and buy it! My husband and I could not be more pleased!

Gives the kitchen a nice upgrade!
A bit pricey, especially when a big box warehouse store sold a similar (larger) model for $100 less (but no more)The tall design, though imposing at first, makes it much easier to get tall pasta pots under the faucet. The pull-down sprayer design (compared to the previous pull-out design we had) greatly reduces the risk of water leaking back into the sink cabinet. If you have curious kids, you know what I mean.Note that Hansgrohe makes this faucet (Allegro E) in three sizes. This is the smallest of the three, with the others each an inch taller and an inch more reach than the previous. For a typical kitchen (24" deep counter, sink against a wall) this small one works great...for an island installation with no backsplash, the larger ones might be more appropriate.Easy installation, especially compared to single-handle faucets from 15-20 years ago (my experience was with Delta, Grohe, and PricePfister faucets). Not counting prep-time (had to recaulk the backsplash and sink/counter interface) installation of the faucet alone was no more than 30 minutes.

Hansgrohe Allegro E Gourmet Faucet
After replacing a 10-year-old Franke faucet with an Elkay just last year (one that looks pretty much like this one), I was disappointed. Parts fit loosely and it dripped in all modes, especially OFF. I disliked liked it so much that I bought this Hansgrohe 12 months later. This is GOOD. It was easy to install (don't even need a faucet wrench) and works like a champ. Everything snug and tight and solid. I like the locking spray mode, self-cleaning head and 2.2 gpm flow, since I'd rather regulate my faucet flow than than have the government do it. And it nails the faucet litmus test: the mili-second the faucet is turned off, the water stops dripping, cold. Or hot. It's a high-quality faucet and it shows. I even like the way the spray mechanism works, unlike another reviewer here, since I use it in spray mode the most anyway. Finally, all the literature and specs say that this particular version of the faucet (the "prep" size) does not have a magnetic head return -- BUT IT DOES. I found this out as I installed it when I accidentally held my magnetized screw-driver while putting the faucet head in place. So, as you replace the head after use, it does indeed suck it up subtley, just for that last millimeter, quick and snug.

Beautiful Faucet
A great faucet at an amazing price. Arrived quickly and was just what I had expected. Please be careful to ensure that you are getting the right size (many of the Allego E are similar, but come in different sizes) and the right finish. Installed very easily (probably can't imagine any faucet being easier to install). I spent a LOT more time disconnecting my old faucet than I did installing this one. All you need is a flat head screwdriver and some plummer's tape (not technically required, but I always suggest using it). Beautiful faucet, and excellent quality. Could not be more impressed. Note that some of the Hansgrohe faucets are shipping with an extra black rubber washer. If you get one and just have no idea what you are supposed to do with it -- it was inserted in the package by mistake. I spoke to Hansgrohe, and they confirmed this error.
