Dr. Seuss Cat in The Hat Striped Stovepipe Costume Hat for Kids

Bought this Cat in the Hat hat years ago for school “Cat in the Hat Day,” and it’s been a hit ever since. It’s survived all three of my kids over the span of 8 years—still holding up great! Fun, well-made, and perfect for dress-up, spirit days, or just a good laugh. Totally worth it!

Of all the MANY Christmas gifted received by my twin grandsons, age two, their two CITH hats were by far their favorite things!! They fit ALL head sizes...don't know how it works, but I can also wear the hat!! One of the boys wants to sleep in his, and he also likes to wear two hats at a time, and the CITH hat is always one of the two! Now, granted, both boys are crazy about hats, but this is their FAVORITE for over a month now!!! I think their mom is planning a CITH-themed birthday party and these hats will play a major role. Excellent hat!!!!! It has held up very well with rough handling from two toddler boys, and when it looks a bit squished or lopsided, it is even funnier and is easy to reshape!! LOVE IT!!!

Dr Seuss's famous hat is the one thing when you see it you know what is going on. My granddaughter had her first Dr Seuss birthday and she was to dress up in her favorite character. She choice the Cat and we asked why. She said because his hat was the one thing people know. Pretty good at 6. This hat is very well made and will fit anyone from a child of 6 to a young adult. (it fits my head and i have what is considered a small head for a lady.) It made a very good statement and will be used again in coming years.

This is a good product. I bought it for my five year old nephew who loves Cat in the Hat. He likes it. It fits his head pretty good, but he's small for his age. So, I would say anyone above the age of 6-7 would need a bigger size. It's a little misleading when it says "poseable". It's a cloth hat, there's wire in the brim. It DOES stand up, like Cat's does (and even flops just a little on the top like his, so it looks very realistic to the kids). It doesn't stay up with a whole lot of movement, but you just tug it back into place. It's a good dress-up prop, or good for Read Across America or Halloween. A little on the pricier side for just a hat.

we used this for my son's doctor Seuss themed birthday party. he wore it almost the entire time and he looked absolutely adorable in it. the hat is kind of a felt material and structure so that it will stay standing up. although it doesn't look exactly like the picture its an adorable Cat in the Hat replica hat and kids love to wear. after my sons party he uses it for dress up. he has not treated it very kindly but it still holds up very well. in fact, I am directing Seussical Jr. and this is the hat we are using for the Cat in the Hat.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: My son performed a musical of Dr. Seuss Cat! Must have item! :)

Worked great for my son to wear at our homeschool reading fair. He’s 8 and has a bigger head and it fit well...snug enough to stay put, but comfy and not too tight. It’s held up great and can be used again.

This was the cheapest one I could find for our toddler. Its bendy and fairly durable. He totally loves it!
