Contigo West Loop Stainless Steel Vacuum-Insulated Travel Mug with Spill-Proof Lid, Keeps Drinks Hot up to 5 Hours and Cold up to 12 Hours, 16oz Monaco

This insulated mug is by far the best that I have used to this point. This is the second Contigo West Loop that I have had. The first one I used for about two years until it broke after some major abuse and a fall at work. As far as usability, I absolutely loved it. The vacuum insulation worked very well, and would keep all of my drinks hot or cold for hours. Probably the best part of the mug though is the leak-proof design. In the two years that I had the mug, I did not have any problems with the mug leaking. This meant that I could take the mug and toss is onto the passenger's seat in my car and go - no need to worry about babying a hot drink or worry about it spilling in my car. I am also a tea drinker so I purchased the optional tea infuser accessory ( Contigo West Loop Travel Mug Tea Infuser Accessory, Greyed Jade ), which was admittedly a bit expensive, but worth its weight in gold. Just put a tea bag in the infuser, pop the infuser onto the bottom of the mug lid and go. No need to wait for the tea to brew or for tea bag strings to be hanging out of the mug. There are two potential downsides to this mug. First is the durability of the finish. The first mug I has was the Latte color and I found that with regular use, the finish would scratch off easily, and the outside shell of the mug would dent easily if dropped even a small distance. I don't know if all of the colors will have this issue (I assume that the stainless color would not have a "painted-on" finish, for example) but the Latte color one definitely does, as well as my second one, which is black. This is purely cosmetic, however, and does not affect the functionality of the mug. The second potential downside to the mug is the difficulty in sipping hot drinks. The way the mouthpiece is designed, it is a little difficult to sip a very hot drink, as the way the mug handles is more of an "all or nothing" type of thing. This is definitely worse at first until you become used to how the mug works, but it is definitely something to be aware of. Overall though, this is a wonderful mug, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs to carry liquids with them.

I really enjoy having my morning cup of coffee but hate bringing it to work in a coffee mug. Every other coffee mug that I have purchased starts off great but then the mug starts reeking of old coffee no matter how much I clean it. The Contigo Autoseal West Loop mug has finally solved those problems for me. Cleaning This mug has been extremely easy to clean which has been amazing. The inside of the lid can be can be popped up which offers easy access to clean the lid by hand or in the dishwasher. Washing the lid by hand has been a breeze so far and has kept my mug perfectly clean for the month I have been using it so far. Spill Proof When Contigo states that this mug is spill proof they really mean it. I have dropped my mug a few times on accident and shaken it upside down with liquid in it on purpose without ever a drop leaking out of the mug. The lid fits on with a few short turns and doesn't require any second thought on whether or not I screwed the lid on tight enough. The Autoseal button must be pressed in order to drink from the mug. If your finger isn't holding down the button there won't be any chance of liquid spilling out of the mug. There is also a lock feature so you won't accidentally press the Autoseal button while the mug is in a backpack or a purse. Insulation I haven't tried testing the limits of the insulation of this mug as of yet but I have had no issues with my coffee going cold. I have left the mug for about 4 hours at the maximum so far and my coffee was still at a nice warm temperature. Appearance The appearance of this mug is fairly simple but sleek looking. I purchased this mug in the Monaco option and have loved the color. My only very minor issue with the mug is that the color can scratch off rather easily but this is an issue on most mugs so I wouldn't count it as any sort of con. Overall I have been very pleased with this mug and plan to keep it for a very long time. Contigo will definitely be my next choice on mugs.

It’s been 6 years since I’ve bought this, and it still holds up pretty well. Hot or even cold liquids are kept the same for hours, I really recommend it.

We love the Congo Autoseal coffee mugs. We bought 2 about a year ago and so far, no problems. We wanted a good coffee mug that 1) fit into the cup holders in our cars (some are too wide) 2) Keeps drinks warm (some cheaper plastic ones didn't) 3) didn't spill This had pretty good reviews so we tried it out and wasn't disappointed. It fit into both my wife's and my car cup holders. Keeps our coffee pretty warm for at least a couple of hours. I've never timed it but it never felt like it loses the warmth "too quickly". The main proof for us is that it doesn't spill. I often take the train and didn't always finish my coffee so I put it carefully in my briefcase but every one is a while, it would tip over and spill all over the inside of the case. Not anymore! It definitely keeps the liquid inside. I don't find it annoying at all but you have to press a button to release mechanism that blocks the liquid from coming out of the top. If you are holding the cup with your thumb under the sip hole, the button is a large button where your other 4 fingers are on the other side of the mug. Very naturally to me and the button is large so there isn't any fumbling, trying to find it. There is a locking mechanism at the top that keeps the hole closed (prevents the button from being pressed). It works and a very smart idea as I could see something in a bag, accidentally pressing the button and opening the sip hole. Its pretty easy to clean but we've NEVER put in the dish washer. We always rinse by hand. It comes in many colors. We have blue and black. After a while, the metal part may get a bit scratched up especially at the bottom.

Wirklich ein sehr hochwertiges, Produkt. Design und Verabeitung seind Top! Die Isolierungswirkung ist echt beachtlich: Auch wenn man seinen Tee darin frisch macht, wird der Becherselbst kaum warm und man kann ihn prima anfassen. Der Deckel wird natürlich schon etwas wärmer, aber auch nicht wirklich unangenehm. Auch wenn über den Deckel etwas Wärme abhanden kommt ist mein Tee nach 4-5 Stunden im Becher immer noch so warm, dass man ihn kaum oder gerade so trinken kann. Mit kalten Getränken habe ich den Becher noch nicht getestet, aber ich gehe davon aus, dass die Wirkung hier auch vergleichsweise sehr gut sein wird. Die Reinigung ist echt einfach es wird wohl etliche Zeit dauern bis sich da was ablagert. Das Einzige was ich bemengeln kann ist die Verpackung, diese war nicht gut gepolstert, weshalb mein erstes Exemplar eine Delle hatte. Ich habe zwar anstandslos Ersatz erhalten, die Polsterung war auch dieses mal nicht besser, der Postmann aber wohl etwas vorsichtiger.

I love this so much that I keep offering to buy them for my friends! In trying to avoid single-use plastics, lots of companies are marketing travel cups but some of them get used a couple of times and then are binned as they leak/don't keep the drink warm/break easily/can't be cleaned. So I did my research and read that this cup was different! I'm delighted with this cup. The body is steel (I'm happy it's not plastic) and the double walled insulation works brilliantly. It keeps my tea hot for about 5 hours. If I want to drink the tea very soon, I need to leave the lid off while the tea brews to cool slightly. I can be a bit clumsy so it's really helpful that this cup never leaks. You can drop it or turn it upside down and the autolock mechanism works perfectly. You have to press the button while sipping - it's very easy to use. I like this size of cup - it's equivalent to a large mug of tea The lid can be washed on top shelf of dishwasher and the metal cup needs to be washed by hand.

Un produit excellent. Permet le transport de thé ou autre boissons chaude, reste chaud très longtemps. Le système de fermeture automatique est très bien pour le transport en toute condition. Très facile d'utilisation et d'entretien

Lovely colours...a bit expensive...I do wish that Costco still carried Contigo.

Best product that keeps your drink either hot or cold for a long period of time.
