These Fiskars Cuts+More 5-in-1 Multi-Purpose Scissors are the most versatile scissors in the history of human endeavor. If you know scissors, you already know the Fiskars name. Fiskars is synonymous with quality and value. But these establish a new paradigm in clever design!Whoever said he didn’t like how these separate, is clearly not thinking clearly. The WHOLE POINT of these is that they quickly come apart, NOT so you can put them in the dishwasher and ruin them like an idiot, but so you can 1- sharpen them with the included sharpener / sheath and 2- use the single blade like a knife. That means you don’t need to go get a separate weapon when accepting deliveries while snipping out letters for ransom notes.The idea of including a sheath is genius, assuming you can motivate morons in your house to use it. With the sheath on, teenagers and other stupid people can thoughtlessly toss these in the silverware drawer like they always do, and the scissors won’t get ruined, like they always do. People wonder why I am grumpy all the time. Part of the reason is they don’t put away my tools properly, thereby leaving me with yet another chore to do. I know how to sharpen any cutting tool extant and have the tools do do it, but that doesn’t mean I enjoy it… damn it!The sheath does more than protect these wonderful joyous things. It has an integral idiot proof sharpener AND a box opener. You can use the sheath to open boxes quickly and safely with or without the scissors inside. The opener is very safe by design. So kudos to Fiskars for including not one but TWO great idiot proof gadgets on one accessory!The small notch near the haft cuts wire, and that means a manly man like me can do useful stuff besides repairing all the broken dull knives and scissors in our kitchen every friggin’ weekend.That wire-cutting notch can snip a chip from those pesky bubble wrap items that no one can open without a Goldfinger-approved industrial laser. Once you snip the chip, these sturdy scissors can complete the job of punishing that pernicious plastic packaging thereby vanquishing the forces of evil. By itself, that single feature is worth double the price.So how many uses is that so far?1- GREAT SCISSORS!2- Separated blade doubles as a knife for opening letters or abdomens of lazy offspring.3- Protective Sheath INCLUDED! Say it three times. It really is that important.4- Self contained sharpener! (yay;-) no more trips to the basement to set up the grinder because of a pesky problem child or “helpful” cousins who throw everything including scissors into the dishwasher after thanksgiving dinner. (“Why doesn’t he come upstairs and talk to us? Why is he always so angry? Instead of finding a mangled cutting edge and no beer opener, you’ll find your steadfast helper is there for you… bringing sweet relief from private imported stock kept hidden in the basement fridge.I’m going to buy two more pairs: one for my wonderful wife who can’t use a knife without a trip to ER, and another pair just to keep me happy at night when the news is on. These are not just mere scissors! They provide relief, assuage grief and fight evil. I suspect they were designed by super intelligent benevolent aliens to help us evolve.

Fiskars are the best scissors hands down!These scissors cut really well, very strong. They also slide easy for cutting long items like wrapping paper. They have a built in sharpener in the holding case and also the holding case has a less sharp plastic blade used for cutting tape on boxes, opening envelopes, or etc. The scissors also have a built in cord or small diameter rope cutter which works well.My only complaint about the scissors are if you open them as wide as they go (to use one blade as a knife for opening tape on boxes, etc.) the scissors will come apart. They are not like old school fiskars where the two scissor blades are riveted together.Other than that great solid scissors!

High quality as all fiskars

We have purchased these 3 times. The first set was great! They quickly became the most favorable scissors we own. We ordered two more times and those pairs arrived very dull. If you get a good pair they are excellent, but seems to be a quality control issue in the sharpening department.

Great scissors! These are always sharp and I'm also a fan of scissors that come with a sharpener.... Since this one is also the sheath for the scissors, serving dual purposes I'm so glad it came with the order.
