Dowling Magnets Wonderboard Magnet Set: Make a Face

These face magnets are fun and have a great variety of silly eyes, mouths, etc and the price is very reasonable, however they definitely have a limited life span (I'd guess 2 years or so, we'll see). They are thin and bendable so the top layer with the image and back magnet layer separate very easily - combine that with the need to "pick" them off the magnetic board over and over again and I can already tell they will likely be coming apart quickly. About 10 minutes after opening these my two year old was twisting one piece that was eye glasses and already created creases/wrinkles on that one, and one separated from it's backing a bit while I took it out of the sheet it comes in. That said, we've had it for a few weeks now and they really have enjoyed playing with it and laugh at all the silly faces.

I teach online, and these are always enjoyable. They are funny, silly, and kids love their crazy designs. I like them as a whole, but there are some definite things I don't enjoy. First off, it is almost impossible to make a face which resembles those on the cover. The pieces are not the same size as those displayed, and the heads are disproportional for the design. I wish the heads were also magnetic, as they can easily fall off the whiteboard before you can get the first piece of the face on. I also wish that there was a decent storing method either included or suggested. They are pretty tricky to line up in a manner that is convenient for quick usage. Even if something can't be included due to costs, I wish they had a recommendation for easy display. Overall, these are cute and bring lots of laughs. I wouldn't purchase them again though, nor would I recommend them to others.

This magnet set is being used in a classroom of 3yr olds. It was easy to remove from packaging and the pieces are thick enough that they will be hard to destroy. The expressions included are well designed and the kids have fun making the silly faces. Some of the pieces are small and easy to loose track of.Would like to have seen some larger pieces for the age it is recommended for.

This is fun when children are learning to draw faces. And my 3 year old liked it and had fun being silly with it for a while. She is not in love with it however, and I usually have to suggest it to get her to play with it. So I think it has good educational value, but she is not always drawn to it on her own.

This wasn't what I thought it would be. We love doing emotion based stuff with our pk kids at church, so we were looking for some more magnetic face options. The body parts were good, but the faces were pieces of paper that you lay on top of a magnetic board to give the face outline. I'm pretty sure in one weekend our face outlines will have to be thrown out. I haven't tried it yet, but I might be able to use dry erase to write straight on the board. But for the price- which has gone up since I bought it- I shouldn't have to do anything.

I bought my daughters a similar kit when they were very young and when I saw this kit I had to buy it. They are now 22 and 19 and like playing with it as much as when they were kids. It comes with a magnetic board so you can bring it in the car but we use the pieces on the fridge. Its sturdy and lots of fun.

I really like the idea of this but one of my faces came slightly torn because its slightly above regular paper.

We bought the Wonderboard Fun-With-Faces years ago for my youngest and he absolutely loved it. You can make all kinds of funny faces and the magnets stick really well. We played with it together all the time. When he got older, I ended up getting rid of it and am now buying a new one for my grandson. Can't wait to use it all over again!

I bought this for my 4 1/2 year old grandson at Christmas and he wanted to play with it immediately. He was very amused by the different expressions he could make. A very sturdy product - in fact the base is quite heavy which makes it easy to control. I am pretty sure it will outlast other similar toys he has.

the order arrived promptly and given as a birthday gift to my 3yr old grand daughter. The board was very heavy and looked bright and inviting however the pieces where difficult for her to remove from the backing making some become detached from the magnets which was a shame because we then had to think about gluing them back together
