Great purchase for manual wheelchair users
I bought these gloves to use with a manual wheelchair. They are exceptional. There is a nice snug fit. I agree that one should order one size larger than what is usually worn because these gloves tend to run small. I've used them for a couple of months now. There is no sign of wear or tear. They look great and work exceptionally well for what I got them for. The palms are well padded and protect my hand from friction burns from the wheelchair rims.A lot of the reviews here state that these gloves smell bad. This is true, HOWEVER, the smell goes away within a couple of days. Here is what I think is a good comparison. I bought a similar set of gloves from a well known retail chain. They cost over twice what these gloves cost and are not made as well. The padding was not nearly so good and they just don't look as good either.I highly recommend these unless you have exceptionally large hands. My hands are somwhere between "medium" and "large". I got the extra large size and they fit but just barely. Huge hands will not fit in these gloves in my opinion.

Do not buy... You are warned..
So when you think tactical gloves you think durability "they can handle beating".. but no only wore them a handful for times they started too rip for the top strap from the stitching... It's made from cheap fabric but the comforter is there for the knuckles. I would say.. do not buy it's a piece of crap

Good gloves, if a bit stinky
Merchant is based in China, so if you plan to purchase these as a gift, allow plenty of time for international shipping. Tracking is awful, even though the merchant will share the tracking number--you can find the tracking number listed inside the item line if you dig into your order record. (It won't come in your shipment confirmation).Gloves are Velcro-adjustable around the wrists and around the outer edge of your palm. The Velcro on the wrists includes a metal ring that you can thread the band through and tighten to your liking. Gloves are a bit stiff but don't require much breaking in to make them comfortable. Adjust them to be loose enough to come off if pulled, and you'll never have to tinker with the bands again. Some reviewers have mentioned that these gloves have an odor, and mine did. The smell wasn't terribly offensive, but it wasn't nice, either. A generous blast or three of Febreeze and a trip through the low heat cycle in my dryer did the trick. That's why these got four stars instead of five. They're inexpensive, fit well, and are a good value. I wouldn't recommend these for use by people who ride cycles, as there just isn't enough protection afforded by the material.

ok glove, only real problem is the thumb is slightly to short
its ok, good for the price. i like the softer style as compared to the hard knuckle gloves because while it doesnt provide that level of protection hard knuckles do, its much slimmer and dosent stick out so much when you have your hand flat. it also is easier to to get into you pockets with this style of glove as compared to hard knuckle. the quality of construction is about what youd expect from something so cheap. only problems are that the thumbs are a little to short, and its hard to fully extend your hand because of such. all the other fingers are the right length with some having a little extra room, so its really just the way the glove is made. it feels like this could easily be remedied by having some of the flexible fabric under the joint and knuckele of the thumb instead of solid grippy stuff. if you need rapid thumb movements, (ex cocking the hammer of a revolver or clicking a pen) this will make it more difficult. also just feels weird not being able to have full range of motion with your thumb. glovee does give ample grip comparable to more expensive gloves, just might not last as long.

A bit large for me.
I like it, but the size is too big. I measured 17cm from middle fingertip to wrist (I didn't see instructions for measurement, but it seemed reasonable), and went with the Medium (smallest offered). While the wrist strap is snug enough, I can't get the palm tight enough. It's very baggy; I can pinch the palm of the glove and pull it about an inch from my palm. That said, it's great for blocking hits to the back of the hand while LARPing, and for blocking (padded!) arrows in LARP. It does make it a little hard to grip a weapon, particularly in my (weaker) off-hand, but that's a matter of grip strength and getting used to wearing them.I'd love to have a pair of these in small; in the meantime, I'm debating stitching along the sides to tighten.Edit to add: I didn't notice any strong smell. If I put them right up to my nose, yeah, there's a little bit of a rubber smell (like tire rubber), but it's not noticeable at a distance and it doesn't seem to stay with my hand.

These are the gloves to buy for half-finger functionality.
I take an XL and these fit perfectly. The palm has a very nice but subtle traction surface and they are double "clasped" with a velcro pull over and a wrist strap that goes through a clasp and secures with velcro. My full finger gloves were fine but they limited you very much on what you could do like fastening your helmet strap, reaching into you pocket for your key among others. I still can not believe how inexpensive these are. If you don't mind buying from China, these are the half-finger gloves to buy. The seller sincerely appreciates your business as his included note conveys.

WAY too small. Size 'large' might fit a child. NOT an adult man.
Didn't even come close to fitting, wouldn't even fit over my palm, not to mention thumbs. TINY size good for a kid.Construction seems OK, just isn't a LARGE - even though that's what the label says it is.Perhaps a small for a lady or fit a child.
