How did I live without this thing?
Love this thing! I'm on my third pregnancy in three years, and my muscles and ligaments just didn't have time to recover before pregnancy #3. I thought with only five weeks left, I could make it to the end without any kind of support, but every day my muscles and ligaments in my lower belly and pelvic area felt more and more painful. Now I just regret that I didn't get this item sooner!! At least I'll have it when baby #4 happens. I was a little skeptical that a plain old band would do anything to support my pregnant belly, so I ordered another type of pregnancy support that had shoulder straps along with this one as a comparison. When I got my items, I wore each for a decent amount of time, and this one was clearly the winner. The other one was the "It's You Babe Prenatal Cradle", and that one is NOT adjustable, and it's just regular pieces of elastic sewn together. The Bracoo band is adjustable (so if you need more support one day and less on another, you can customize it) and it's made of special soft, thick elastic material-- nothing like regular elastic you could buy at a craft or fabric store. It really does form to your body, and it's so easy to put on and take off. I still don't understand how a band like this can hold up a pregnant belly while not putting more pressure on the lower back, but somehow, it does the job. For me, when I put it on in the morning, it's not like I feel immediate relief to my painful ligaments. It's more like the relief increases as the day goes on, which is way better than how I felt before I had it (The day started in pain and only got worse as the hours went on). And because I'm not in so much pain all day, I have more energy during the day and into the evening. Don't get me wrong, I still feel 8 months pregnant, but I think I can make it through these last few weeks with the Bracoo support.

Well worth it.
I bought this based on the reviews of this and similar products. Of course the price was within our small budget too so that's a plus. I ordered this belt because 1) I'm 5' 1" with barely a torso & all belly (a BIG belly) & 2) I strained my right ligament which made walking at times not possible. I was told by my doctor to take it easy for a few days to heal but I was not put on bed rest just yet. I really needed something that would help me at my very busy job and also with daily house chores. I really didn't want to go on bed rest again. I've used my belt for about a month now and it's been just what I need. It really doesn't show through my clothes which is a plus for comfort purposes and I'm able to go through my normal day with minimal pain/discomfort. A friend also gave me her $80+ belt (shortly after this purchase) she got at buy buy baby and it doesn't do half of what this little beauty does. The "bbb" belt is bigger, comfortable, and easier to sit with actually but doesn't help me hardly at all. Maybe the first 10min I put it on if I wake up with little pain to begin with but to wear all day is pointless. I initially wanted to get this glamorous belt but could not afford something so pricy. I'm glad I got to try both products simultaneously. Overall: Pros: Great price Works well Minimal pain by the end of a long day Cons: It can be difficult to sit with but I usually adjust or take off until I move again. It doesn't get rid of all your pain which isn't to be expected anyway.

and am so so sad that I was miserable for so many pregnancies for ...
I am 31 weeks pregnant with my third, and am so so sad that I was miserable for so many pregnancies for so long- never knowing about this! I was skeptical at first, but it works like a charm! I put it on at 5pm yesterday and didn't realize that it took away all of my round ligament pains until I took it off for just a second the next day. I also have bad sciatica with this pregnancy. I couldn't even walk, and I have 8 weeks left! By this morning, all of my back pain was GONE! I don't like the Velcro because it can dig into your skin if you aren't wearing maternity clothes. But it is so worth it when you can't sleep or walk from the pain otherwise! Too bad I didn't have this last week at my dentist appointment when I was crying from the ligament pains, unable to do a thing about them. I am having a C-section and will be wearing this post partum as well! Be prepared that it can add pressure to your bladder, and going to the bathroom gets annoying with this band in the way, but that just comes with the territory. Don't hesitate to spend the money if you are suffering like I was.

So-So product.
This belt does have both pros and cons with it. I have struggled with lower back pain all of my life due to having scoliosis. At 6 months pregnant, my back was already killing me and pain shot down my legs as I walked (I'm a teacher so I walk a lot). I like the simplicity of this belt, it is easy to get on and off and it is not bulky like other belts. The material is similar to an ace bandage so it starts to itch after exposure to skin. I will put this on over my maternity pants "belt" or over a tank top. I will say that you can see it under one shirt so I try to wear at least two shirts over it to minimize the appearance. It has def. helped relieve SOME of the back pain but I still experience moments of pain in my lower back, similar to a pinched sciatica nerve. It does help support overall. One con is that the fabric will bend underneath the belly and does not "unbend." I've had this belt for a little over a week and the belt is already bend and shaped oddly due to wear. The velcro is also starting to pull at the fabric and wear it down. Also, sitting down (esp. when driving) with the belt on is really uncomfortable as it digs into your bladder (which is the last thing you need when you are pregnant!) Bottom line: for what its worth and the price you pay, it does what its supposed to do. However, I wish I would have trusted my gut and invested a bit more money in a higher quality belt.

Great item! :)
Just got this over the weekend, and so far it's great! I can feel a difference with my back and :) belly already. It's a bit scratchy if you wear it by itself, but I put it over my maternity jeans and it worked like a charm. I didn't feel the scratchiness, but got all off the support I needed. At first it kind of reminded me of the baby monitors at the hospital, but I don't mind it.it works great! I have a toddler and have to pick him up alot throughout the day and needed some extra support with this being my 3rd pregnancy. Works wonders for cheap! :)

Almost unwearable
After reading some reviews of pricier belly bands I got this one. It helped with some of the SI pain and tearing feeling I got in the second trimester, but I very quickly found that: 1. The rough Velcro cuts into your skin and the whole thing is just itchy. If you're wearing it over another garment or your underwear protects you from all he Velcro it almost is wearable. The Velcro chaffed my skin on one occasion, cutting me and leaving a mark that lasted for weeks! Plus the itchiness makes it uncomfortable. 2. Muffin top problem. Causes a fairly bad muffin top. 3. In my third trimester I dug it out again because I started having Diastasis Recti and an umbilical hernia, but by then the band was totally useless. I have to go to the bathroom a lot anyway, and this band made the problem worse. Eventually I bought a much more expensive Belly Bandit that's not itchy at all, doesn't cause as much muffin top, and I don't have to pee as often. Plus I can wear the Bellly Bandit sort of inside out and avoid the Velcro chaffing.

Perfect for ligament pain in pregnancy
This binder works well for me, relief was literally immediate when I put it on the first time which was just yesterday. I am 6 months pregnant and 5 ft 4, 207 lbs last weigh-in a month a go, so this stretches quite far. I am not the smallest lady out there. This is my first pregnancy and I have been having pretty bad round ligament pain on my left side due to right pelvic issues. I would get pain just standing up and going to the grocery store was frustrating. I knew I needed some kind of band because I would walk around with my hand holding up my belly and the pain would subside. I didn't want the other belts out there, as they cover most of the back which is not an issue for me, and that 2nd strap seemed ridiculous. I also sit for 8 hrs a day for work and many of those reviews said it was painful or annoying when sitting. This works well for me, as I can just slide it up a bit more when sitting so it doesn't dig into me. Also, since I am pregnant and have to use the restroom frequently, I just pull the belt up under my bustline and then pull it back down when done. I don't let the belt touch my skin, as I feel it would be uncomfortable. I wear it over my bottoms but always wear a long tank so no one knows I'm wearing it. The pink color doesn't even matter to me.

Preliminary review
*This is being written after receiving this about 3.5 hours ago.* About me: I’m 30 weeks & this is baby # 3, so I’ve been struggling with pelvic pain, a horribly painful umbilical hernia and just started having slight back pain due to getting larger. As soon as I put it on, I noticed an immediate difference. I felt instantly supported...which honestly did surprise me. I agree that the velcro can be irritating if it touches your skin. And it seemed I wasn’t able to 100% get it to only touch the belt and not my skin (because I’m so big already and can’t see what I’m doing - even facing a mirror). My largest issue is that this belt needs to be a bit longer so it would fit a wider person. I am in no way a large person (even during pregnancy), but I have to velcro the first part at its loosest setting and it still feels super tight. I also agree that it’s not really great for sitting (which is what I do most of the day being in office work. :-/ ) Unfortunately, I specifically chose this one because it’s sodter and I’d hoped to be able to wear it comfortably while sitting. (Maybe I could have done so if it were a bit looser.) Picture I’m attaching is after I wore it for 3 hours and sat down for maybe 1.5 hours of that time. You see where it’s digging into my skin. :-/ (Pink tape is how I’ve been dealing with the hernia until now.)

Used from 6/7months till end of pregnancy - great support.
Defiantly a must have, to make pregnancy life just a bit easier when out and about or when you really feel the weight of your baby!! I used mine from about 6-7months pregnant until the end of pregnancy- and I loved using this, made longer days out walking so much easier and enjoyable. Worth the purchase and worth having. Will defiantly purchase a belly belt again for next pregnancy and would highly recommend it for busy pregnant mums who like being active. Use when you really need it and take off when your sitting or not doing much so you dont become so dependant on it. Again - I used mine for long days out, so I could walk around longer with the baby weight feeling reduced - trust me when you take it off you feel the huge difference occur. Only downside which I dont know if it's a quality issue or wear and tear. Mine started to slightly fold out, bare in mind it folded out exactly on my lower belly line, basically were my belly is being supported. Not sure if it was cause of how heavy my belly got and the weight folded it out when walking or what. Next time I think I would buy two and see what happens, to be honest it could either be baby weight or quality of the belt, either way weather you buy this one or another belt - it's still worth having one in your handbag or around ready to go. I got this one cause it looked the easiest to use, which it was and it was affordable so I didnt mind spending the cash to see if it really would help and to test it out basically - it was easy to use, no complicated instructions or lots of different sizes. In short it became something I didnt leave the house without and my partner always reminded me to take it cause he saw the difference ( less complaining !! Haha) - I had this belt and an amazing pair of compression socks, when out I was sorted and much happier shopping and overall enjoying my growing size in pregnancy. Get yourself a belt and compression socks i would highly recommend, I got a wonderful pair on amazon which was the highest rated / best seller item ( "physix gear" compression socks ) - little pricey, but I can tell you it was well worth it I got two pairs as you only get one pair in a pack plus I never suffered once with swollen feet! Or aches, my night cramps were minimised and eventually just went away totally after wearing them ( I got a pair you can wear all the time if needed). The belts definatly a product worth having! Great support, comfortable ( but for comfort - use over a soft top, but not a thick one. You can cover with a jumper on top - as belts not the prettiest accessorie on an outfit) - defiantly reduces baby weight majorly and helps reduce back pain by distributing the weight more evenly.
