Do these clippers come with an instructional DVD?

No they don't come with an instructIonal DVD. Don't let that turn you away. They are perfect for cutting dog hair. My dog is half poodle and has those beautiful curls and while another clipper couldn't handle his hair this one does. They are also safe to the skin used properly. They stay cool even after an hour. Battery always last at least two hair cuts but I always have both charged just in case. It doesn't seem to bother him much after I showed him on my arm with a hair cutting motion that they were safe. I did this first thing when they arrived they had to be human safe in order to use on my dog. He dislikes people (was abused as a pup by his previous humans) So taking him to the groomer was out of the question. Mostly because no groomer I could find would let me stay while they worked on him. As for instructions go on yout*be or search online.

I like to give my cat a lions cut every spring. Is this a goo produt for this?

I haven't tried a lion cut but I've used on my dogs, cats and horses. It's quiet enough that they don't mind it. Light weight. I really like it.

Would you recommend these clippers for a Havanese with a cotton coat that mats easily?

I use these clippers to groom my Chinese crested powder puff, she has a thick silky coat that also mats easily, I also use them to groom my 2 poodles with no issues what so ever.  I've groomed all my poodles (4 previous) all with different coat thicknesses and never had an issue.  I have replace the blades as they've gotten older, think I'm on my 4 blade since 2003, and I'm still on my original batteries, but they need replacing as they no longer keep their charge for as long as they should.  I love this clipper and recommend it to all my dog friends.  I know a lot of people that use it on their fur kids.
