Kenwood KCA-IP102 iPod 1-Wire Direct Cable

Works great !

This works great with my Pioneer head unit and ipod 5. Someday they'll be impossible to find!

It's advertised as a one wire direct cable. I was forced to buy it to use my ipod with my new radio. It's the first unit [Kenwood DDX373] I've ever owned that needed BOTH cables plugged into my ipod to work.What gives? I think I know. Manufacturers thrust products on you, you buy them and enjoy them for a very short period of time, and then technology makes them obsolete as soon as you get used to them. It appears that I'm supposed to start using my phone to listen to music and pitch the OLD ipod. I'm not ready to do that. Sorry for the rant. I'm just glad I still have my cassette recorder.

So I bought this cable for my boyfriends Touchscreen kenwood radio. Whenever it came in, we immediately tested it on his radio- in the input hooked up to his iPhone 4. Whenever we hooked it up, it did not work. I was furious. Instead of sending it back- I tried it on my Pioneer radio, and what do you know? It worked for my PIONEER radio, and it's a KENWOOD cable cord?... What?Furthermore, I gave this item 3 stars because all in all, it worked a Pioneer radio; even though I bought it for a kenwood radio.P.S.: this cable cord is extremely sturdy and made with good materials. This product hasn't broke yet.

Product did not come in a Kenwood package or does it say Kenwood. But, it looks the same and feels the same. A lot of the time a company buys the product for the maker, Kenwood does not make the cable, then he sells if for less because it does not say the name brand anywhere. I think that is what is happening here.

For the price, I was hoping it would be a genuine Kenwood product. It works great and no problems. This is just a generic cable adapter made for Kenwood, but not manufactured by them. Other than that, good product.

Fell apart after a couple of years. Worked as it should up until it fell apart.

Good pruduct well made and much more durable than the factory Apple USB like they way it clips into the IPhone and holds it secure

This is my second one (the first wasn't well put together and basically fell apart). This one is much better, as the connection housing actually stays together.

really pleased with the product, how badly can you screw up a cable right? it has the right ends, is a useful length, what else can really be said. its a piece of wire with smaller wires inside of it. pretty hard to give a bad review.

Good wire for the purpose

前の車(二代目オデッセイ)では、ケンウッドのほぼ同型モデルナビを取り付けましたが、その時はナビ本体のUSBジャックに社外ケーブルを接続していましたが、振動で接続が若干不安定でした。今回、付属のUSBケーブルを使用し、さらに別売のこの純正30ピンケーブルを接続しました。FMトランスミッターと違いダイレクト接続なので音質がまるで違います。ビルや山等の障害物にも影響ないので快適です。iPhoneやiPod touchの方にはライトニングケーブルで同様の純正ケーブルがありますので、Bluetooth接続出来ない方にはそちらで問題ないと思います。

ダイハツMOVE(H14)に取り付けたKENWOOD DPX-U700にiPhone3GSをこの商品「ケンウッドiPodインターフェイスケーブルKCA-IP102」でつないでテストしました。当初、iPhone３GS付属の純正ケーブルで接続した際、「このアクセサリは充電に対応していません」とiPhone３GS画面に警告表示され、充電されませんでした。この場合iPhone３GS内の音楽再生機能はついては問題ありません。そこで、ケーブルの抜き差しやiPhone３GSとカーオーディオを再起動してみたところ、一瞬充電できても、すぐ前記の警告が表示され、やはり充電されませんでした。次に通話契約を解除した同じiPhone３GS（音楽再生機能は使えるもの）をつないでみると、これは充電可能でした。これは同じiPhone３GSですが実はiOSのバージョンが違います。充電不可はiOS5、充電可能はiOS4なのです。この結果の意味することの推測もありますが、ここでははぶきます。ちなみにiPhone３GSのバッテリー残量も、充電可能、不可に影響しているようですが、これもまた説明をはぶきます。そしていよいよ、この「ケンウッド　iPodインターフェイスケーブル　KCA-IP102」を使ってみました。なんと、前記充電不可だったiOS5のiPhone３GSでも充電可能になりました。★ １つ減の理由は、iPhone側の接続端子部分が純正とは違い大きいことです。よって、私の装着しているiPhoneカバーでははずさないと干渉して接続できませんでした。しかし大きい理由の一つに、その端子が外れないようになっている機構が付いている点は評価できます。（以前のiPodの純正端子にもその機構が付いていた）純正ケーブルの件、OSの件、いろんな疑問は残っているにせよ、結果、このケーブルは買ってよかったです。せっかく充電できるようにできている（？）のに、できないなんて残念すぎますもの。ただし、これから使用し続け、また充電できなくなるかもしれません。それは、iOSのアップデートによってかもしれません。どんなタイミングかわかりませんが、とにかく、そうならないことを祈りたいです。追記2011.12.30KENWOOD DPX-U700に続き、KENWOOD U565SDでテストしました。（日産NOTE(H23))（iPhone3GS(iOS5)）な、な、なんと、こちらの機種はこのケーブルを使ってしても、充電できませんでした。とても悲しく、ショックです。こちらの方がDPX-U700よりも少しだけ発売日が遅いです。私の組み合わせで、タイミングでたまたまそうなのかも知れません。引き続き検索やらして、対策して行きたいと思います。追記2011.1.14ところで、そもそも、これらの機種で、「iPhoneを充電可能」と取扱説明書に記載されているかどうかについて、以降追記していきます。追記2012.3.8そうです！「iPhoneを充電可能」と書いてある場合以外は、充電出来なくても文句はいえません(^^;)
