Comparison of Pet Hair Removal Tools
I purchased several different products and will share my feedback of each here, for those who are comparison shopping. I have always been a pet owner, but recently adopted a terrier. White hair, short, wiry, sticks to EVERYTHING. I have never had as much trouble with pet hair as I do now. I needed major help removing the hair from my leather couch, my bedding, and my clothes. Sweepa Duo Rubber Brush: this worked best on my couch. It was a bit labor intensive, for me at least, because the pet hair had become embedded in the leather. We have a large sectional, so by the time I had wiped the sides, backs, and seats of the couch, I was winded and about 30 min had passed. I had tried a bunch of other products prior to this, and even the at-home latex glove trick, to no avail. While hairs were still present on the couch, this tool provided the most relief. Fur Zapper 2-pack pet hair remover: I wanted to love this, but it just didn't work for me. I see no less hair on clothes now than I did before I purchased these. I also followed the suggestion to run dirty clothes in the dryer for a few minutes to "loosen" the pet hair prior to washing. I did find some pet hair in the lint trap after this, but not enough to take this extra step in my opinion. Delomo Pet Grooming Glove: Our dogs actually really enjoyed being groomed with this glove, and we got an enormous amount of hair off the two of them. It felt great to see it come off on the glove instead of floating around my house, so this product is a keeper! Gonzo Pet Hair Lifter sponge: this worked best on my clothes. The terrier's hair has a way to get embedded in material, making it so hard to get out. My sticky tape rolls would only go so far. I would leave the house about 75% hair-free. This sponge really did get up a lot of hair that was "stuck" in sweaters. I did notice that after a few swipes, the hair that had been removed by the sponge would get transferred to the sweater again. I had a hard time getting the hair off the sponge, until I tried this...after a few passes with the sponge, I would take my sticky tape roller and run it all over the sponge to pick up the hair on it, then go back to my sweater with the sponge, and repeat. I have yet to find a product that works effectively across multiple surfaces. If anyone has a suggestion, please share! But I am pleased with the rubber brush for my couch, the glove for pet grooming, and the pet hair lifter for clothes. I would not purchase the fur zapper again.

Cat Hair Everywhere
With a Persian cat population of ten I desperately needed a handy tool to remove cat hair. The expensive vacuum attachment I bought is cumbersome and not quite as good as I had hoped. When Gonzo arrived I immediately went to work on long-neglected areas such as kitty condos, furniture and anything else I found that was fur-bearing. Depending on the pressure I used, I was able to extract hair from surfaces that had been recently vacuumed, as well as, places seldom vacuumed. I'm amazed at the ease and usefulness of this handy sponge. No more buying expensive tape lifters every month. This product will save money, time and frustration. I rated this product with four stars as it takes some time to pull the collected hair from the sponge and it can leave hair balls on fabric which are easily missed if done hastily.

Works on some textures that are stiff but not on stretchy cloth very well.
Well it does pick up hair, this is true and I think there is indeed a learning curve on how to best use it. It didn't work as well as I had hoped based on the reviews. I have a bedspread that is many different materials, many which are velvet and softer stretchy materials and this just doesn't work well on it. I think it works pretty ok on stiffer material or things that have less give, like a person wearing shirt. For the price though it's ok and I will def. use it some or find ways to use it, just not as good on all things as I had hoped to remove cat hair.

Triggered *LATEX ALLERGY* before even opened
(TL;DR:) The listing says “all natural” materials. The “made of” detail box says “sponge” which it CLEARLY is not. There are numerous reviews citing a chemical/rubber/eraser smell. (Longer version) Here’s what happened: I removed the pkg from the shipping mailer & set it aside. Within seconds I felt my right fingers begin to tighten & itch furiously. I smelled the outside of the pkg & could already smell rubber. At this point I immediately put it down on the brown paper mailer to minimize any more transfer of allergen, assuming for my safety that it is latex. I searched the entire web for nearly an hour without being able to find any detail of what materials are used in its manufacture. I returned to the Amazon listing, wondering if I’d missed that crucial word or phrase of “natural rubber”, “rubber”, or “latex” anywhere. I cannot find it in any place on the entire current listing. At this point, given the continued tightness in my fingers even after washing with dish soap up to my elbow multiple times, all I can assume is that this product contains a significant amount of natural rubber latex or processed latex/rubber. NOT WORTH THE RISK if anyone who will spend time in your home/car or near your treated clothing could have a LATEX ALLERGY. What a waste of money. Latex allergies are scary & tend to get worse with each exposure. There’s always some amount latex nearly *everywhere* in daily life. But bringing in a double handful of it and rubbing it all over the your furniture, carpeting, car interior, & clothing could be quite dangerous to someone sensitive to it or already with a known allergy.

It actually works!
This thing is amazing! I really didn’t think it could get all of the dog hair off my chenille couch, because nothing else ever has (including the vacuum), but I thought it might be better than other things I’ve tried. I was so surprised! It really did get the hair off, and out of, the fibers of the couch fabric. I have two Great Pyrenees dogs and two long-haired cats and it’s just been a losing battle forever. One tip I have is to move the sponge over the fabric one direction to pick up the hair and then rub the sponge in the opposite direction a few inches to get the hair off the sponge. And, don’t use the sponge when it’s wet, only when it’s dry. It’s my new favorite thing. 😊

WOW>>>WOW>>>WOW !!! Amazing!!
This is absolutely AMAZING! It works, I mean it really works awesomely well!! I have 2 furball critters running around the house, one is a long hair and I swear loses a pound of fur even with brushing! Surprised he actually still has fur! This little sponge, in one simple swipe, will pick up ALL the hair you swipe it across.Cleaning the hair off the sponge is as simple as just pulling off, no sticking,no working to get it off, it just lefts right off. Works amazing on furniture and blankets. If ya use it on clothing, either have the clothing on, or laid out like on an ironing board, suface needs to be firm to get it all. Doesnt work real well on like t-shirt material, but it DOES work.I have purchased 4 of these, the price is awesome, and if you have furry children...you need this!. Everyone I have given this to, is amazed at how well it works. I "defur" the living room furniture, and my bed everyday...I LOVE this!! It is so simple to use, and cleans off so easily.Makes the "defurring" of things actually fun! hahaha! Can't say enough good things about this product, it is simply AMAZING!!! Great that ya can use it again and again and again, no replacing sticky sheet rollers, or trying to pick the hair out of a brush, or glove, it just simply lifts right off the sponge.WAY COOL!!! and so so easy!! This deserves a ten star rating for price and quality!!

Hair doesn’t clump as shown
I wanted this for my couch which is textured and my yellow lab’s hair gets easily embedded. It works ok pulling the hair off the fabric, but it doesn’t clump up as shown in some other reviews so is very difficult to remove from the sponge and gets redeposited as I work. Not sure if it’s my dog’s fur or what but not working for me.

Ignore the negative reviews
I don’t have a first pic of before (therefore first is after, it’s a felt style cloth, hard to clean dog hair out of) but the second is before (I started in the corner before I decided to review) and the third is the final product. This product works amazingly well and exactly as described, I can get the dog hair out with a bit of work, pressure on the pad & working it at different angles (it’s hair, and it’s going to be work like anything else, use some elbow grease) and use a vacuum to suck up the hair, the pad does a great job at moving the hair into a ball and making it easy to remove with a vacuum (it does also come off with the pad but not much, it’s more of a clumping device) The pics are of a felt type fabric used on two parts of the bed area in my work truck (2019 Volvo VNL 760) and the grey fabric is a tougher more open pour fabric compared to the tight soft velvety style of the first pic (also hard to remove hair but as bad as the other type) I’ve also used it on the curtains in my truck (separate the cab from the sleeper, also a tighter wove soft fabric) & it works very well there as well I also use it on my pillows and it cleans the dog hair right out of them, makes them soft again instead of sleeping with a face full of dog hair. I have a just about 3 year old German Shepherd / Border Collie cross & she sheds really bad at the moment, this has been an amazing device to clean my work truck with and I will definitely purchase again in the future. I don’t know what the nay sayers are doing wrong but it works amazing, I haven’t had any issues with it

Good cleaner
I bought this to remove pet hair instead of the lint remover s. It works but I prefer the lint remover rollers. I have recently discovered that it is absolutely amazing at getting bits of tissue off clothes when one has been left in someone's pocket and ruined the washing. Also good for a quick clean of the stairs.
