Baker's Secret 1061483 10-by-16-Inch Nonstick Cooling Rack, Set of 2

Not only is the price virtually unbeatable for a good-quality product (Baker's Secret is rather trustworthy across the board), my favorite thing about these particular racks is that they STORE EASILY. I have at least a dozen from different brands in different sizes. These are the perfect size to accommodate regular-sized batches of baked goods, and because of the cutouts near the feet, they nest very easily and store almost flat. This is my third set of these; I have four of these racks at home, and when I was recently asked about the best ones by a friend, I bought him these to try as his first. Nonstick, wash easily (tip: a plastic dishwashing brush and some hot, soapy water and they're like new) and don't warp -- all very important factors. The packaging says not to use them in the oven (there's a big trend toward nesting a cooling rack on top of a cookie sheet for bacon-making and other applications); IN NO WAY DO I RECOMMEND THAT YOU GO AGAINST THE PACKAGE DIRECTIONS, but since I am a firebrand and an upstart and hate to be told what to do, I will just tell you that I personally have used these and similarly-clad products in that manner against the manufacturers' advice, and I (and my cooling racks) have emerged from the experiences unscathed.

I've really liked these cooling racks. They're nice and big, so you can fit a lot onto them. And they're easy to clean. I've never had an issue with food sticking to them (though, admittedly, I tend to clean cookware as soon as I'm done using it, so your experience may vary). The grating is fine enough that things don't really droop or fall through, while still cooling. The size might be a disadvantage, if you don't have much storage space in your kitchen. They fit fine just sitting in one of my baking pans, though. Which also makes them useful for some cooking. (If you put bacon on the rack, then put a pan beneath to catch the drippings, and put it all in the oven, it comes out delicious, and there's not much mess.)

This is the perfect set of cooling racks for the following reasons: 1) Items do not fall between the slats like the cheapie kinds. This is the main reason that I bought these. 2) The second reason that I bought this set is because when you cool cookies, you can set the baking sheet to cool on one rack and then take the cookies out and set on the second rack. 3)This set is just the right size for cookies, cakes, souffles, or any casseroles! 4) This very well constructed set of cooling racks is the best set of cooling racks that I ever owned and I will use them for many years to come. Great buy!

These wire racks are great! They're light, easy to stack and store, and easy to clean because of their nonstick coatings. I use them for baking all the time. They are durable and I haven't had any issues with the nonstick coating peeling off, and I am sure these will last quite some time. The only drawback I've found to them so far is that the wires in the frame are a bit thin and it's easy for them to bend. As such, it's only been a month or so since I got them and they're bowing inwards slightly. I can bend them back but they don't always stay that way and I do not want to break them. It hasn't caused any problems, but it can be a bit tricky if it makes things like muffins fall over sometimes.

My overall impressions when I first received this item was that I would not like them and that they were cheap. I was presently surprised at how nice and good quality cooling racks are. I have used these items several times with out any notice of paint/coating wearing or chipping. No warping noted I have stored these cooling racks on end and in different ways. Cool racks work as they were manufactured to do. Stack easily with each other to minimize space they take up in height. Priced well for receiving two racks. Having used high priced racks before, I am impressed with how nice these racks are. Granted they are cooling racks and not much is expected out of them but am glad I took the chance with these items.

Update 1-12-17 Upgraded to 5 stars. About 75% of the time these are used in the oven for cooking and 25% for cooling. After about 8 months and several hundred uses the wire mesh has held up very well. The coating is not peeling or cracking or rusting. Food does not stick unless it is softer items like frozen beer battered fish and then only a little. clean up is a breeze. They are tall enough that enough hot air on the convect setting gets underneath you can get away without flipping foods, especially when using a flat baking sheet (no sides). Original Post The wire mesh is a bit thin but they work fine. Can't expect anything more in this price range. The only concern is they will break sooner than expected. If I needed something more durable would have went with a stainless steel version. If I factored in the price it would be five stars but I never do as it can fluctuate and would not be as good a value if the price was higher.

These are very nice, full-sheet size cookie racks with a cross grid and full non-stick coating. Pop one of these on a cookie sheet and you can use it in the oven to keep your re-heated pizza and fried goods from getting soggy. And they are great for keeping the first waffles warm while you make the rest of the batch. (Nothing worse than a soggy waffle!) I wish I could find an 11 inch round one just like these to use in my countertop convection oven. I really need something with a cross grid that fits it.

These cooling racks are great multi-taskers. Let me start with the bad: The packaging clearly states not for use in the oven! But this isn't really bad, I had to try them in the oven just to see what horrible thing could happen...and nothing did. There was very minor warping so I wouldn't put a large roast or anything on this but bacon or other light things will be fine. Now on to the good things: BACON, oven broiled bacon is delicious, my wife swears this is the only way she will eat it now. The main reason I purchased this was for bacon, and it does a great job and NOTHING sticks. The non-stick on these baking sheets works awesome. I wouldn't worry about cookies or sticky breads or anything sticking on these. In summary if you need a cooling rack that fits your standard size cookie sheet then this set is a great buy.

This was a big help in the kitchen....especially for cooling cakes. The quality is excellent and they are quiet large.

I've used these cooling racks so many times and never had a problem. The real test is when I'm topping cookies or a desert loaf with a glaze and it drips onto the racks, no issue with clean up as its comes of easy with sticking. This size is perfect and they stack and store without much effort. Good quality and sturdy, great value for the money.

I love these baking racks and I use them in the kitchen all the time for many different things. I have baked bacon on them to keep it up out of the grease. I've done the same with chicken and it's come out incredibly crispy on all sides. I've done roasts on the racks and collected the drippings below to make an au jus. They have also been used to cool down dozens and dozens of cookies after they've come out of the oven. These are great and a necessity! I couldn't live without them.
