Brand new and unused. Review: Good quality, excellent value. Worked great with a widescreen gaming monitor. - I used this wall mount with my new Acer Predator 34-inch Curved UltraWide QHD (3440 x 1440) NVIDIA G-Sync Widescreen Display (X34 bmiphz) , which is a very wide computer monitor, though it does not exceed the weight restrictions of this mount. The installation went very well. I first mounted the arm to the wall. I used a stud finder and drilled pilot holes first. Surprisingly, I found there was a small gap between the drywall and the wood stud, but the included screws were still long enough to get a good bite into the stud. I tightened the joints using the included allen wrench. Then I mounted the monitor (which comes with a special bracket for VESA mounts) to the arm. I was worried that the weight and size might be too much for this little arm, but after testing the movement of the monitor on this arm, I became much more confident that it was secure. I did need to tighten the "up-down" monitor rotation as hard as I could to keep the monitor from tilting downward due to its own weight. One quick tip that some people have mentioned: the arm does not allow any clockwise screen rotation, and even though the arm was mounted to the wall perfectly level, the monitor itself was not level. This is very noticeable on a wide monitor, too. The mount's lower screw hole does allow some wiggle room for adjustment, but here's what I did: I experimented by moving the arm around and found was that if I bent the arm joint in the opposite direction, my monitor became perfectly level. This wasn't a big deal for me, since my monitor is facing perfectly forward from the wall. Problem solved! Now my gaming monitor floats above my desk and I have room below it for speakers and various other peripherals. Very satisfied! Review: Pretty Great - I got this for my 20" LCD that was collecting dust sitting with my Guest PC. I re-purposed it a few weeks ago as my secondary monitor but my PC setup is pretty specific to what I have so the extra monitor wasn't at an optimal place. The idea came to me to mount the LCD on my wall but I hadn't found any mounting brackets that were right - most were too big, too heavy, lay flat on the wall or were overly expensive for what they were. Lo and behold (THANK YOU desertcart), I found this one which is so perfect. At first I though it was going to be some bendy garbage but I read the reviews and took the chance. I am a happy camper. I unfortunately had no drill bits nor a real drill and was too excited to wait till the next day to buy them, so I mounted the arm right to the wall with the screws that came with it. It's been a week and a bit and it hasn't fallen off yet (I did manage to find the stud in the wall). The monitor is pretty light and the arm, while sturdy is pretty light as well. I have no doubt that had I not found the stud in the wall that the pairing would rip a hole in there but as it is it seems to be alright for the time being. Putting it together was cake. I made sure to put the screen on the arm before I put it on the wall; this in itself was very easy too. I also made sure I put some markings on the wall so it would level after I put the mount up. That being said, the arm is absolutely great. It articulates side to side and I can angle the monitor perfectly either flush beside my main screen or at an angle beside it. I can tilt the screen up or down too and side to side. It basically moves in every way I want/need it to so I'm a happy camper, so happy in fact that I'm considering getting one for my main screen which is 24 inches and for the TV in our guest room. Pros: Seems pretty sturdy and well built. Articulates very nicely. Angles up or down, can be almost flush to the wall and can be flush alongside another screen. Price is awesome. Arm can be loosened or tightened to customers liking. Cons: None (Yet?).

Nice, inexpensive monitor mounts--but buy some better screws
I was looking for some monitor mounts to install two computer monitors on my wall. One is 22 inches, and the other is 27 inches. I ordered these, because they were under $20, and most monitor mounts are much more expensive. I don't need anything fancy, just something to screw to the wall to keep my monitor in place, and which is somewhat adjustable. These work fine, but installation is a little tough. They mount vertically on a single stud. In theory this should be easy. But when I tried to screw mine in, the screw heads stripped in my drill really fast. I had to manually remove the half-in screws with a pair of pliers. I bought some higher quality screws and tried again, and it worked just fine. After the mounts were up, I removed the monitor stand and matched the holes to the holes in the mount. Unless you are really strong and patient, this might be easier done with two people, one to hold the monitor and one to do the screwing. Once installed, they swivel, rotate and move just fine. You might need to adjust the firmness of the joint screws with the provided tool; otherwise the monitors will settle downward. All in all, I am very happy because these are very inexpensive, they do the job just fine, and they removed some of the clutter from my desk. But I sure with they didn't include such flimsy wall screws. Update: five months later, they are still working just fine. Every now and then, I have to tighten the screws that allow for swiveling, or else the monitors start to point slowly downward. But for the price and the use I've already gotten out of them, these were well worth it, and the minor adjustments are not a big deal.

REVIEW AFTER HAVING FOR 3 YEARS + TIPS!!!
This has really been a great piece of equipment for us! We have a small, light weight, flat screen TV that I wanted to mount on the wall in front of our elliptical, but given the space limitations in renting a house in Los Angeles, our elliptical shares a room with our washer and dryer so the TV also hangs directly above them as well. I'm not sure about your washer and dryer, but ours go through times when they bounce around like they're trying to make it into the kitchen to get a drink. That means the wall our TV is hung on, takes quite a jostling and after having this stand for 3 years now, it has not loosened or become downturned or anything! Again, our TV is relatively lightweight but after the beating this thing has taken (I climbed into the attic myself to drop the cables down to wire it through the wall so needless to say, it wasn't a smooth operation), I feel confident recommending it to anyone in the market. Installation-wise, it was pretty simple. My husband knocked it out on his own without me even holding it steady for him. But if you are a lady without Michelle Obama biceps it might help to have a friend hold it in place while you screw it into the wall. But the beauty of it is that even if it isn't installed perfectly square, it angles and stretches too! So you can just adjust it after the fact. Bottom line, really well made product for a low cost that has lasted us years already with no sign of giving out! PROS: Low-Cost, Durable, Easy To Install, High Quality, and Virtually Invisible Once Installed and Fitted With Flat Screen! CONS: None That I Can Tell (After 3 Years!!!!) TIPS: This is just a tip for hanging things square in general really, but it has changed my life! I put the TV mount on a roll of craft paper from the 99cent store and outlined it (including the screw holes and tv mount spaces). Then I cut it all out and used painters tape to hang the paper outline and find the perfect spot (ESPECIALLY helpful when you have walls that might not be perfectly squared, or even close to square...) making sure that it's either level or that it matches the level of neighboring cabinets/frames, or simply mimicking the slant of the wall if the wall isn't straight to make it look level. ***Did you find my review helpful? Great little monitor support
I was looking for an articulating wall mount for a 20" computer monitor and was very surprised to find the extremely economically priced VideoSecu mount. In addition to getting great reviews and being considerably under the price of it's competition, it was also very easy to install. Very well packaged, including various sizes of mounting bolts to fit most common systems. While it is not large, it is well made and has handled my 20' monitor with no problems. I made sure I was centered on a wall stud prior to installing, and after 4 days of testing, I am confident that it is safe and secure. Following some of the other reviews, I installed the unit a bit higher than my eye-line, fearing some sag when the articulating arm was extended, but it was not necessary in my case. Once mounted, I tightened up the hinges with the provided hex wrench and there is almost no noticeable sag and even the screen attached tilt plate stays where I set it with no problem. Overall an excellent little mount that was easy to install and is well built for long use. I liked it so much, I bought another one for future use. I don't really know yet where I will use it, but at less than $15 each, I know I will find a use for such a great performing wall mount.

Compact and Solid HDTV Mount - Easily Modified to Rotate 360 Degrees for Use in my RV
I've installed 4 VideoSecu mounts around my families households, and all of them are excellent solid mounts. This one is no exception. It's compact, lightweight and easily adjustable. My HDTV fits very close to the wall when folded, and is very secure when extended. It can be tightened to maintain any position. I'm very happy with this mount. If you are interested in converting this to a full-Motion mount, read on. Modification costs just over a $1 and takes less than one hour (two hours, if you prime and paint it). See photos in 'Customer Images'. I had a unique mounting situation in my motorhome, and I needed a full-motion mount for my 22" HDTV that would tilt upward at least 27 degrees. Unfortunately, most full motion mounts limit tilt to 15 degrees. I also needed one that would hold my HDTV in place while traveling. Based on the reviews, this mount was just the ticket, except that it didn't rotate. I was sure that I could modify it to suit my needs, so once I received it, I visited my local hardware store to see if I could find a thin plate to bolt on top of the existing aluminum mounting plate. I could then bolt the plates together through the center with a washer in between to allow 360 degree rotation. I found a thin steel 4-inch blank electrical box cover that fit the bill perfectly. To modify the mount, first remove the two bolts that attach the mounting plate to the horizontal tilting axis. Then drill a 1/4" hole through the center of the steel cover, and the center of the VideoSecu aluminum mounting plate. Install a 1/4"-20 bolt, rotate the steel plate until both plates are aligned, install a nut and tighten the plates together. Now you can drill the HDTV mounting holes by using the VESA 75mm X 75mm holes in the aluminum mounting plate to guide the drill through the steel plate. Disassemble the two plates, file the new holes in the steel plate smooth, sand it, and paint it flat black to match the mount. Reassemble with a 1/4"-20 bolt through the steel plate, using a flat washer in between the two plates, and a lock nut to hold everything snug. The curved shape of the VideoSecu aluminum mounting plate allows you to attach your HDTV without disassembling the two plates, by simply rotating the steel plate about 45 degrees. For more detailed information on the modification, see below. DETAILS: I used a small file to square the center hole in the steel plate so that I could use a carriage bolt to connect the two mounting plates. This allowed me to tighten the mounting plates using only one wrench on the locknut while holding the steel plate. Also by grinding the top of the carriage bolt flat, less washers were needed to space the HDTV from the steel mount to clear the center bolt. I also used a 5/16" ID flat washer between the plates so that the washer contacted each plate rather than ride on the top of the square flanges of the carriage bolt. I also had to cut the carriage bolt to the proper length since I couldn't find a bolt less than 1-inch long. Make sure that you use a blank steel plate and not one with a knockout in the center. (NOTE: If you have VESA 100mm X 100mm, use the 4-11/16" square plate) Because the distance from the horizontal tilting axis on the mount to the back of the aluminum mounting plate is less than 5/16", you may not be able to use a standard nylon lock nut because it is too thick. In my case I placed a standard 1/4" - 20 nut in my bench vise, sqeezed it slightly, and made my own locknut. The locknut allows adjustment of the tension between the two plates so that the HDTV will rotate smoothly under tension without loosening the nut. Please note that depending on the type of bolt that you use to connect the plates, you may have to buy longer HDTV mounting screws and use more washers as spacers to clear the head of the center bolt when mounting your HDTV to the steel plate.

Not best mount but still worth for the price
The VideoSecu ML12B TV Wall Mount for my 32" LCD TV, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations. The installation process was straightforward, with clear instructions that made it easy to mount my TV securely. What I appreciate most is the articulating arm feature, which allows me to adjust the viewing angle effortlessly. This flexibility is perfect for my living room, as I can tilt and swivel the TV for the best view from different spots. The build quality is impressive, providing sturdy and reliable support for my TV. Despite its robust construction, the mount has a sleek design that doesn't protrude much from the wall, maintaining a neat and tidy look. The compatibility with VESA 100/75mm is a bonus, making it versatile for different TV models. Overall, the VideoSecu ML12B is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a reliable, adjustable, and easy-to-install TV wall mount. Highly recommended!

Okay for the money but missing some key features
Really can't see how anyone would give this five or four stars except for the price or they have never used another mount. Cons: Requires two people to install. I have 4 wall mounted TV's (65",50", 42" and now this one for a 32" tv) and this was the only one that required two people to install. Two of the mounts I have are from the same manufacture. It's missing some key features that my other mounts all have had. The option to mount the main support to the wall and the plat to the back of the tv. Then mount plate with the tv attached to the main support. There is no tilt function (left to right) only up and down In order to get the tv level I had to install the mounting bracket at an 8 degree angle. Which required drilling an additional hole. My three other mounts allowed for the tv to tilt left or right in order to fine tune the level. I can't stand a non level tv. I did adjust the screws for the mounting plate and widened the holes but that only worked with the tv facing one direction. Pros: Price (maybe I expected too much) It allows tv to swivel easily from one direction to another. This was for a 32" kitchen tv and its nice to turn it towards the dinning room. Unless you are my wife and she hates the tv in the kitchen period. Sturdy. It holds the tv securely. tilt up and down to give perfect viewing angle. If this was over $20 I would give it 1.5 stars but for the price its made sturdy and does the job. Just know you will have to fine tune the mount if you want a level tv.

Not sturdy, monitor is tilted after final install and tightening. Do not buy!
Not only did the product take weeks to arrive, after much time installing the mount and making sure the plate was level, the joints had too much play in them resulting in a significant (unignorable) amount of tilt probably 15% and there is no horizontal adjustment feature to correct the issue. The monitor I installed is no where near the max capacity so this is a very disappointing surprise. I will be returning both my wall mounts and buying the mounting dream brand as it seems more robust and allows for horizontal tilt adjustment.
