This is a great product and it's hard to get locally as most of the places only sell CAT3 wire, which means you have to translate color codes to use non-CAT3 devices. The Yellow wire is white, as is pictured, but that is the only difference between this product and standard phone wire, but that means you only have to hook up yellow as white and leave the other colors the same.

As others have said, inner conductors are 24 AWG -- solid copper measured as 0.50 mm -- and not 22 as indicated in the product description. Another thing that is not obvious is that the outer shell is round (kinda looks flat on the picture) and is about 4 mm diameter, it is slightly soft enough to compress down to 3.80 mm easily in one direction.

Generally speaking, this wire will serve the function that most people are looking for. I gave it two stars because it doesn't meet its electrical and physical specifications. I made this purchase because I needed 22 gauge, which has a diameter of ~0.025". This wire's diameter is ~0.020" and therefore, it is 24 gauge. The package clearly states it's 22 ga. and it's wrong. At least it does appear to be solid copper.

Be careful. It is listed as 22 gauge, but it is only 26. If you really want 22 gauge, look for something else. On the other hand, it is wire and it conducts, so it does work.

The 100 foot 4 conductor telephone cable serves to replace an older telephone line. The somewhat thicker copper internal cable helps maintain a clear line.

Standard quality phone line. Sunday delivery wasn't a budget buster. Thosw who complained about the wire size didn't realize that 24 GA is standard landline wire size.

This works great, but is slightly stiffer than I would have liked.
