EcoAqua EFF-6027A Replacement Filter, Compatible with Samsung DA29-00020B, DA29-00020A, HAF-CIN/EXP, 46-9101 Refrigerator Water Filter

This was quick and easy to install and fit well. Actually it was easier than the O.E.M. filter. The water tastes the same as that from the Samsung filter.Please note - I said "less expensive" in the headline, not "cheap". I chose my words carefully! it looks good, works well, and is a good fit, with the same specifications as the Samsung filter and costs less than 1/2 as much!

This product fit my Samsung fridge as expected. Other 3rd party filters had issues with water pressure that dropped down under 50% of the Samsung filters. I switched back to the Samsung brand because I didn't want to wait 30 seconds to fill up an 8 oz. glass of water. This filter is on par with the Samsung filters with regard to water pressure.There was a little bit of a seating issue putting the new filter in place but I don't think that is the filter's fault. When I first insert the filter, there was a rumbling, vibrating noise. I pushed on the filter and it stopped but no water would come out when using the water dispenser. I removed and replaced the filter and everything worked fine. Why did this happen? Probably because I didn't shut off the water supply before inserting the filter. The Samsung refrigerator instructions are very clear about shutting off the water before installing in a new filter. For me, this is too cumbersome and barely possible since the fridge is sort of jammed into the spot it is in. So since day 1, I have just been inserting the filters without bothering to turn off the water supply first. It's a bit harder to push the filters in but eventually they work.

I've had this installed in my samsung refrigerator for a couple of weeks now and so far it is working perfectly. As many of the other reviews have mentioned this filter does have a square connection on the end instead of the round that came with the factory filter. This did give me pause but I decided to give it a try anyway. I plugged it in and it worked without issue and after several weeks there has been no signs of any leaks.Another reviewer had mentioned that after they plugged it in they got sputtering of the water as if there was air getting into the line. I did experience this at first as well; however, I also experienced this with the original factory filter that came with the refrigerator. After I ran a decent amount of water through the system as you should do when you install a new filter the sputtering went away and it has been working perfectly ever since.I have not noticed any change in the taste of the water from the factory filter and overall am very satisfied with this for the price and as long as I don't experience any other issues I will most likely continue to purchase these filters in the future.My one comment about this filter is that the shade of white is slightly off from the factory filter (a little more yellow) which makes it stand out just a little bit in the refrigerator. But that alone isn't enough to make me want to spend the ridiculous amount of money that Samsung wants for their filters.
