Rio Gear Stadium Arm Chair

I purchased 3 different stadium seats for a recent event where we were seated for 6 hours. I am not a fan of those hard bleachers. This Rio Adventure Stadium Arm Chair and a black one from The Stadium Chair Company were both very comfortable and well designed. The third one purchased, a red "Stadium Chair" (reviewed separately) was horrible by comparison and is being returned. This Rio Adventure here is well designed, solidly built and comfortable. It can take a bit of practice to unfold and fold back up while for comparison, the one from Stadium Chair Company was simple and quick, using a strong simple hook to attach to the bench. This one uses a strap and buckle to wrap around and tighten to the bleacher seat, which is a little bit more effort (not much more). Both seats felt equally secure. The third one we are returning had two smaller hooks its design and construction made it feel unsecured and uncomfortable. This Rio Adventure has a comfortable padded seat that completely rests on the bleacher so does not provide air flow. The other from Stadium Chair Co. has canvas on a frame and uses bungees to provide a cushion effect that allows cooling air flow without using a cushion. This Rio Adventure also provides arm rests with pockets, something the black one did not. I am giving the two keepers both 5 stars as both worked very well for us. Both have different advantages. The one we are returning is getting zero, ok one star. I purchased and paid full price for this chair because of an actual need.

Well... These are much better in theory than in actual use. Haha! IF you will be sitting in bleachers around which you can hook the seat strap (like in the one pictured on Amazon) it works fabulously well! But the moment you have to sit on something that is too large for the strap to fit--give up. Don't fool yourself into thinking it won't slide off the back--it will. And what's worse, is that it'll likely fold up around your hips if you lean on the backrest which makes the siding even more inevitable! Haha! I think they definitely have their place and function--and I loved how they folded up easily and fit into my kids' activity bag, and the idea of a cup holder but they don't work consistently for all gym/stadium seating. We did get some good laughs, though...

i purchased this chair for friday night ballgames. the first time unfolding it is kinda hard only because of the way it folds but after that it's a breeze to open and fold back up. it hooks under the bleacher seat so that it doesn't move, the hook is a little hard to open even after several uses, which i guess is good, because it stays in place. it is not to heavy i have carried 2 at a time and it has a small carry handle. it gives my back the much needed support that i need and the seat area is wide enough so your not crammed. the only reason i gave the comfort a 4 star is that it could use just a little more padding in the seat. but i am happy with it and use it every game we go to. it also keeps your bottom warm and off the cold metal beachers.

These worked so great in my Jon boat for the kids that I ordered one for myself. It's hard to lean back and doesn't provide the best support because the bottom strap loosens. We fixed that with bungee cords. After a few hours on the lake it's time to stretch because the seats aren't super padded, but they are way better than sitting on the aluminum boat seats. The cup holders were a major hit. Easy to fold down. Would buy again. All in all they did the job and made the trip more comfortable. These seats can be used on the ground too, which some others similar could not. That's a plus. When you can only carry so much, double uses are great.

I love the portability of this chair. The pockets are also a nice bonus. The comfort is not what I was hoping for. The cushioning needs some improvement. The chair is a great size for outdoor bleachers. It only hangs slightly over the bleacher so it won't aggravate people behind you. The back is nice to have but leaning back into it WILL annoy anybody behind you as it is just fabric and bows back when you lean against it. This model was comfortable for me but at 120 pounds and 5'3" in height there was not much room leftover to squeeze in between the arms. I would suggest a larger chair for most adults. Overall, this chair is fine for me. I was definitely more comfortable then when I sit on the bare bleachers. I think this chair is about as comfy as you can get without getting one of the bigger bulkier chairs that tend to annoy the people stuck behind you.

I had purchased 2 of these for myself and my wife earlier this year from a local sporting goods store so that watching our son's baseball games would be a little more comfortable. We absolutely loved them and the quality is great. They fold up very easily and it's nice have the drink holder and pocket on the sides. The padding is very nice and they hook on to the bleachers very easily too which is a big plus My in-laws came to a few of his games and really liked the seats too so we ordered 2 more for them for Xmas gifts. They were very happy when they opened them and I'm sure they'll get a lot of use out of them. Overall it's a great product and I highly recommend to anyone spending a lot of time on the bleachers.

These work well for the price. I like the small size for carrying. They could have a little more support on the back, but I guess that is what keeps them small. They do slide a bit on the bleachers even when attached and tightened. However, for the price, I am very pleased.

the buckles slip off the straps alot (when not in use, more when moving them around or unclipping) so having the straps fabricated so that the buckles doing slip off would be nice - lost one walking back to the car without realizing and thankfully found in the grass.otherwise great! just keep your eyes on the buckles

It’s a bit confusing on how to unfold, but once you have it unfolded, it is great.It’s compact & easy to carry. It is comfortable, back support is great. Sat in it on top row of narrow bleacher bench and used back support for 2 hours. Arm rests are comfortable. Has a place to hold a bottle of water and a small pouch for keys.

i brout this chair to a strong mans show.. it was well liked by the people there. i was asked where i got it. I'm shear if i had some, i did a demonstration and let people try the seat. i could of sold them rite there on the spot. i explained that i got them on Amazon and received them in 24 hours as well.

It sets up nice and is comfortable. The unit straps under the bleacher bench and tightens I like that. But I used it about 6 times and the strap broke (snapped). I put a return in to amazon, and they sent me out a new unit right away. So we will see how the new units hold up

Have only used these (2) the one time in the bleachers of a riding clinic that lasted 6 hours. Offers good support & quite comfy. Nice that it has cup holders & is very easy to transport.So far very happy with this purchase.
