A perfect, light pack for whatever adventures you choose!
One the best purchases I've made in recent years- perfect as a hiking pack or day pack when visiting a new place! Even without the water reservoir, this is a lightweight pack that holds a surprising amount of stuff! And it's great to always have water with you, easily accessible from the tube right on your chest. This pack has two big compartments- and there's a zipper to extend the size of the main compartment should you need it. There's a small pocket in the top that I love (perfect to throw your wallet or keys in!), a little mesh pocket in the main compartment good for keeping a few more little things tucked away, and more mesh pockets and a keyhook in the front pocket for hanging things separate from everything else in there! Being kind of an organization junkie, it was great to be able to find a neat place to put everything instead of having to just toss it all in there. The straps are really comfortable, and the chest clip adds a lot of support when going on long walks. A neat little feature on this pack is that all of the long straps have velcro ties built in, so you can keep them tucked in once you have the pack all adjusted! The padding on the back is comfortable and seems to stay cool, even on warm days. The reservoir's compartment also is well insulated, keeping water cold all day! I've had no problems with the pack wearing on me yet; it seems super durable. This is really a close to perfect design for me. I didn't want to lug a huge pack around, but I wanted to still be able to carry a decent amount of stuff. (for instance, I usually fit at least a light jacket, umbrella, nutrition bars, small things of sunscreen and hand sanitizer, sunglasses, flashlight, pocket knife, cell phone charger all in this pack with plenty of room for more!) With the water reservoir there's no need to try and fit a bulky water bottle in there, either! Even at $85 list price, this has been a purchase that has more than paid for itself and it's served me well through many a forest or urban adventure!

Great for biking, light travel
Pros:Extremely light, comfortable, slim form factor, fits 13" macbook air with breathing room, water-resistant inside (I've had it in the rain and my comp stayed dry), big outer-most pocket (fits coffee travel thermos), great water bladder, top pocket is microfiber-ish. Can fit a couple of (small-medium) textbooks for college students.Cons:Top pocket looks like it's made for glasses, too small to comfortably fit glasses. In fact, I snapped my eyeglasses in half on accident after taking them out of this pocket. Not sure what that pocket's even for.Adjustable traps are loosey-goosey, have to be adjusted repeatedly (only a vague burden).I wouldn't trust this in a downpour with water-sensitive materials. It SEEMS water proof, but don't count on it being so all the time.Velcro straps have to be re-bundled because they're also loosey-goosey.Conclusion: loosey-goosey is a great phrase, this bag rocks.

Nice hybrid Camel and Blowfish
I got the wrong color combination from the second supplier on Amazon. I wanted what I'm looking at next to this review.....red with black accents. I got black with red accents. Otherwise it works great. Good fit with the straps. Plenty of room to hold the stuff I carry. And of course most of all the large capacity to hold liquid to drink! Would reccomend to others just supplier please get your act together with the pictures and what you then supply to purchasers. Thanks.

Great for storage
I used this on a trip to Arizona for hiking. I used it on multiple hikes, e.g. Mount Kendrick and Grand Canyon. I was very surprised at how much i could really fit in it (Jacket, long sleeve, sweatpants, food, jar of peanuts, & extra water bottle in large pocket). It was very useful to have on long hikes and always laid flat on my back. It was very comfortable and for the most part easy to adjust. The strap around the waist was a little difficult to adjust on my own, but easier for others. This may have just been a personal issue however...

Well designed with one exception
One of the zippers (the one for the very smallest pocket) got stuck on day 2. Had my keys in it. Was a bear to get them out. Had to cut the material but works fine now. Otherwise I highly recommend this. The main pockets are just right and the hydration bladder goes in and out very easily. Still glad I got it even with the small zipper fail.

Worth Every Dollar
Bought this two years ago and have taken it to Tanzania, Philippines, and Nicaragua in many all-day walking situations and high heat. The large reservoir keeps me hydrated and there's plenty of room to pack all I need for the day. Quality is excellent - no rips, fading, or broken zippers. I recommend this product to anyone. It's worth the price.

Most valuable item to have at a festival
I bought this for use at the Bonnaroo Music festival in Manchester, TN and it is an absolute life-saver. Not only does the 2L size give me enough water that I can enjoy the music and not have to worry about filling up all the time, but the storage space allows me to store snacks, camera, maps, money, etc.Now that I have this camelbak, I never forget to drink water even if I get caught up in the music.
