CS-X3 Air Freshener Refill - Squash

I lived in Japan for 14 years and loved going to their auto accessories stores, either Yellowhat or Autobacs. I miss Japan so much; the food, people, the culture, and their JDM rice-rocket cars. This air freshener was my favorite, I always had a steady supply; it smells clean, not overwhelming, and a staple JDM "Squash" scent familiar to Japan-based car enthusiasts. Let me tell you, I was ecstatic when I saw this on Amazon. It's exactly the one I used to buy in the stores in Japan! Of course it's a little bit more expensive here due to import taxes and tariffs, but I found a way to make it last longer and still have the JDM air freshener scent: When you peel off the foil seal, instead of taking it off all the way, just peel off half of the foil and slide the vents halfway as well. It lasts almost three times as long (about a month!) and even after three months, there's still a faint scent discernible. I do have to say, once I bought it from Amazon the first time, a feeling of nostalgia was triggered through my olfactory receptors and invoked some awesome memories of living in Japan, especially during my younger Navy days. Carefree, low-ranking, not a care in the world and consequences of drinking like a sailor overseas (which was what I was literally); this was my world when I first started getting this particular air freshener. So you can see why it brings me this euphoric feeling whenever I peel open the foil (halfway of course) of this air freshener... ahh... those were the days.

There honestly is no rival to this air freshener and smell. You can go and buy those cheap dangling ones, but it will never look at stylish as the Air Spencer CS-X3. This air freshener really smells amazing, not overpowering and not too subtle. I've had friends sit in my car and ask me what I use as an air freshener because the squash aroma is so pleasing to the nose. Many of them actually bought one right away off Amazon or Ebay. Refills aren't the cheapest at about $7 a pack, but it lasts up to a month for me and come with two adhesive stickies each time (which is great cause the old ones do lose its adhesiveness). Overall, if you're looking for a cool looking air freshener that isn't dangling from your rear view mirror, then this is the one for you. It was designed in Japan... c'mon enough said!

The scent is amazing, somewhat exotic, & so far my family hasn't gotten tired of it even after more than a decade! I'll admit this small package packs a big punch as far as the scent goes but it doesn't last very long (a month at the most) so at the expense of having to purchase it every month at almost $9 (not including S&H) you need to decide if it's worth your budget. Personally, I think other air fresheners aren't as strong smelling, or even nearly as long lasting, not to mention this scent isn't something I can find anywhere.

I bought this as a refill for the existing shell in my car. I've bought this item many times before and it smells really good!!! Seriously the best scented air freshener I've ever used! Don't be fooled by the name 'Squash', it smells NOTHING like that! The only downside is that this air freshener only lasts about a month before the smell completely fades. I would say it starts to noticeably fade after 2 1/2 weeks.

The CS-X3 are my favorite air fresheners, the scent is like a melon bubblegummy smell. Anyone who gets in my truck compliments the smell almost immediately! It does not have an overwhelming strong smell, I do wish it lasted a little longer (after 3-5 weeks there is still a subtle linger).

JDM lovers you know what I mean when I say this will run you some dollars to replace every now and then, considering they don't last the longest amount of time. And when you think they do, they're easily running of scent and soon enough you'll find yourself replacing them. Despite the time it lasts, it smells great and adds a nice accent to your car.

Didn't quite know what to think when I first ordered this squash sent. I love it though. It doesn't last a real long time, maybe 2 or 3 months? I'm not really sure at the moment as I haven't been in this car for several months. I keep re-ordering it though whenever I need to. I love how it smells, and every girl that's been in my car complements on the smell. I like how I can hide it away, so there's not an obvious air freshener on the vent or in sight anywhere. You owe it to yourself to give it a shot.

I have bought these many times before from a different seller and it lasted more than 3 months. This one however lasted no more than a few weeks. It says imported from Japan so I am not sure of genuine product.
