Bought this for work, and it works great. The Ignition system, & adjustability of the flame are a great addition. Highly recommend for any power utility worker.

Very strong flame, awesome

Works pretty good, my only complaint is that I have to adjust the ignition probes a little all the time, it doesn't want to light everytime even after it just lit few seconds ago, I hate to have to keep clicking the start trigger while the gas is on, not safe to do that, but can always keep a long lighter handy if you need too, so far it works good other then that issue.

This tool is surprisingly reckless and that is why I dropped a star. There are no safety features whatsoever, nothing to control gas flow, nothing to inhibit ignition when the trigger is pulled, no way to extinguish the copious flames except to turn off the gas knob. A kid or whoever needs only to twist a knob and pull the trigger to send flame jetting feet out into the air, with no way to extinguish except by tuning off the gas knob. A panicking person will possibly drop the thing. There are usually no safeties on a propane grill, yet those are very low risk by comparison, with a small controlled flame immobilized and well-shielded by fireproof metal. Be very conscious of where you leave this product, and keep the propane tank disconnected. 4 stars remain though because aside from the safety issue, this thing is very good at its job. It starts easily with a few trigger pulls- make sure to have the gas turned down somewhat at first so as to let it ignite. You can then crank it high to melt ice or burn brush, or low to torch tuna or steak, or caramelize a creme brûlée or what have you. Assuming you have covered the safety angles, it's quite fun. I do recommend... with caution.
