This bento box has lots of room. Great that it comes with a cup and plasticware. It seals pretty well. It is harder for the little kids to open and close. Maybe over time it will loosen. Have the exact box in a different color and have really enjoyed it. You can take the colored tray out to clean and you can pop the top silicone part off (using a butter knife to help unclick it) to wash as well. Took a star off that one (and therefore this one) because it’s a little finicky to lineup to close which I can see being tantrum-inducing for kids. Also have the star off for this one because even though it was wrapped in plastic, the bottom looked kind of scuffed up and felt like it had some sort of dust on it???? Hoping that’s only my experience and no one else’s. I’ll be washing it immediately to see if that helps but if not… trash or hoping for a replacement.

We like nearly everything about this bento box except for the closing mechanism. The lid is attached to the box with a hinge. While this is excellent for keeping the lid on the box, it makes it nearly impossible to close well. My daughter can't easily close it without multiple attempts. The box seals well once closed with no liquid spills. The included dip container, spoon and fork do their job well for an 8-year-old. When it comes to clearing the box, it says it is dishwasher safe and, so far, no issues with using the top rack to clean it. Since the lid is attached, it takes up a ton of room in the dishwasher when compared to the two-part bento boxes. The inner tray comes out easily for cleaning. Take away: Instead of using it as a school lunch box, we have turned it into an adult snackle box.

This Bento Box isn't the best or the worst. While some others feature stainless steel inserts for keeping foods heated (or cooled), this one doesn't have that added feature and I wish that it did. It's also difficult for my child to close properly and I don't like that the compartments are a fixed size that can't be moved to fit different sizes. However, the tray inside is removable, for easy cleaning and the whole thing is dishwasher safe, which is convenient. It comes with a small container with a lid for dips/sauces/etc., which is also nice. I also like the added utensils that come with this set. Overall, it's not a bad lunch box, but it's not my favorite, either.
