Garmin Approach G82 is the Best!!
Absolutely brilliant and way better than my previous Garmin Approach G80! Solid design and its more accurate to display courses ball location distance than on the range distance.

TOO HEAVY
I have the G80. Same basic unit for 1/4 of the weight.....while the screen is great, the weighting is just to heavy for a carry bag........

Don't buy for launch monitor
It's a super nice GPS unit but they launch monitor isnt even close to be accurate and it is very inconsistent as well. Not worth the price tag

Top Notch Garmin GPS!!!
Just bought this and it worked great after one round of golf! Also did some bag mapping on the range. This device will definitely improve your game! Can't wait to use it again😄

Why bother?
G82 is more accurate than R10 only for ball speed and launch angle (and putting). Designed for on course use with GPS but weak for swing and shot shape analysis. My S70 watch does 90% of G82 functions. My S70 also tracks carry distance. $599 might have been cool when the G80 first came out. But it's a why bother today. Better to buy a $495 R10 and spend $100 on HTH for a year. Garmin just turned HTH from a “cute bonus mode” into a real simulator: near R50‑grade experience, more accurate flight modeling, cleaner and faster UI, and practice from any spot on any hole. No support for G82.
