I ordered this for moisturizing any dry or itchy body part, I’m not prone to dryness in my ‘nether region’ but I can use it in that area b/c of the ingredient list. No additives, no fragrance, just avocado oil, olive fruit oil, beeswax, shea butter and hippophee rhamnoides oil (look it up, aka sea buckthorn oil). I’m confident with their claim of this being a gentle skin balm and a patch test issued no reaction, no problem. Note that this is not a cream, it’s a balm. A balm is thicker with no water and is oil-based. So it’s slightly hard & waxy feeling without being greasy and kind of layers on as it ‘melts’. I use a very small scraper to take it out of the container so it’s a more hygienic removal from the jar. I then transfer it to clean hands and have applied this to my elbows, feet, a dry spot on my arm, and a few times to my nether region. All areas had good results with discomfort melting into comfort and feeling better hydrated. This balm is made in China. Although I truly appreciate their ingredients, I did note that the listing title suggests that it’s organic, but I didn’t find a certification or notice of this is on their box or the jar, hence 4 stars for the incongruity of this. Even so, Bodyotics offers many women’s products and I have another item from them that I love and I think this balm falls in the same category.

This is my first balm specifically for vulvar care, and it’s honestly come in super clutch during the cooler, drier months. But probably more importantly: it’s made me much more mindful about vaginal care in general, and I’m really glad I gave it a try. The texture is rich but not heavy — it melts on contact, absorbs quickly, and leaves the skin feeling soft and protected without any stickiness. I use a small amount on the external vulvar area only, and it provides lasting comfort from dryness and irritation. What I really appreciate is the simple, natural formula. It’s made with just a handful of botanical ingredient, including avocado oil, olive oil, beeswax, sea buckthorn oil, and shea butter. There’s no fragrance, no fillers, or no unnecessary extras. I have sensitive skin and have had zero irritation or sensitivity issues using this. I also like that Bodyotics is upfront about normalizing intimate dryness — it’s more common than women/people talk about, and products like this make daily care feel approachable rather than clinical. This balm feels clean and premium, and it’s now something I plan to keep on hand, especially in colder weather. If you yourself are new to vulvar moisturizers like I was, or looking for something gentle and effective, this balm is an approachable place to start.

Bodyotics Vulva Balm Ok first off, on the listing it makes it seem as if it's a creamy texture and it is not. As the name says, it's a balm, like the texture of chapstick. It goes on smoothly and absorbs normally like any balm would. I have not had a bad reaction so far so that's good. It doesn't have a bad smell or a strong smell. I do feel its' priced way too high for something like this and it's not something I would purchase normally.
