Gentle, Cleans Well, Nice Fresh Scent
I had never used it before, but my granddaughter, whose skin is as sensitive as mine, suggested I use micellar water. I ordered the Rice Water Bright micellar/rice water blend to try it out. This formula is a product of Korea, whose cosmetics are popular right now for being good quality. I’m not suggesting this one isn’t, but I was expecting something with simple ingredients of micellar water, rice water, and perhaps a stabilizer. It is vegan and made without paraben, sulfate, or silicon, but it does have a long list of ingredients, lots of extracts and just as many chemicals. Maybe this is standard? I was pleased that the water does a really good job of removing makeup. I just soaked a couple of cotton pads and wiped it all off with little effort. It was effective at cleaning, but it left my face feeling a little tacky (though not exactly sticky). As promised in the product description, it was very gentle and non-irritating, but I had to rinse my face with plain water after use to eliminate the tacky feeling I didn’t like. Others may not be bothered at all by this. The water has a subtle, pleasant scent that does not linger after application. This cleanser comes in a heavy-duty plastic bottle that’s probably not going to break or split if it’s knocked off the counter. Everything about it is a pretty pink, but that makes reading directions hard because they’re written in pink, too, and they just blend in. There’s a generous 16.9 fl. oz. of water in each bottle, so it should last a long time. Overall, Rice Water Bright gently wipes away makeup and leaves the skin feeling soft. It is a reasonable price that is comparable to similar micellar waters.

A total upgrade to my skin cleansing routine!
I've been using The Face Shop products for several years now, so I was excited to use this face cleanser featuring micellar water (which I later learned all about!!). First off, all of their products have always played nice with my skin. Super gentle and non-irritable. I knew going in with this new cleanser that I would be met with the same quality. I currently added this to my cleaning routine using the makeup remover wipes as well as the foaming cleanser (this new product is step 3). What I like most about using this cleanser along with cotton pads, is that I'm able to remove the remaining VERY difficult waterproof mascara I use that both the wipes and foaming cleanser can't quite seem to get to. Once I cleanse my face, it feels very hydrated and not sticky. I immediately continue with my routine after this step (serum, moisturizer, etc). In addition to it being gentle for my skin, I also love that the scent is very gentle as well. Overall, this cleanser is a huge WINNER in my routine!

Bye-Bye Grime, Hello Clean!
I am absolutely in love with The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Micellar Water! This has quickly become my go-to cleanser and makeup remover and am delighted to add to my Face shop collection. I’ve been a fan for over a year now. What I Love: • Gentle yet effective: It removes makeup, dirt, and sunscreen effortlessly without irritating my skin or eyes. Even mascara and light foundation wipe off smoothly with just a few cotton pads. • Hydrating formula: Thanks to the Rice Active Complex, my skin feels soft, nourished, and refreshed after every use — no tightness or dryness. • Brightening effect: With regular use, my complexion looks more radiant and even-toned. I genuinely feel like it helps brighten my skin over time. That’s important to this 61 years young lady. • Lightweight & refreshing: The bi-phase texture is refreshing and doesn’t leave any sticky residue. Perfect for morning and evening cleansing. it also has a very light scent that keeps me coming back! • Great value: Considering the quality, this micellar water is affordable and lasts a long time. I truly adore this brand of skin care and highly recommend!

Great micellar water, would love a fragrance free option
I've used the same micellar water (French brand) daily for almost 20 yrs so I was excited to try a different brand and while I rate it 5 stars for performance, it did cause a reaction. It's very effective, easily removing even waterproof mascara, leaves the skin feeling clean and preps for toner, essence, serum and/or moisturizer. It's not as hydrating as my usual micellar but doesn't leave my skin feeling stripped, nor does it feel oily or filmy despite the bi-phase formula. I can't speak to the brightening effects but other rice water products I've used have produced those results. I have ultra sensitive, reactive and acne prone skin with occasional eczema flare ups and unfortunately, after the first use, I woke up to itchy, red, warm skin from my cheeks and down my neck and small whiteheads across my face. This type of irritation has happened before with micellar waters that contain fragrance so I'm guessing that's the cause here and I blame myself for not checking the ingredients list properly, like I usually do. Everyone's skin is different so I'm still rating it 5 stars based solely on performance and would definitely recommend it, although those with sensitive skin may want a fragrance free option.
