We bought these after reviewing quite a few for two large drawers our contractor built for our built in bookcase with window seat. We anticipate that the drawers will be filled with toys and games for our grandchildren. We needed slides that are heavy duty for the size and weight of our drawers. They are newly installed and haven't been used yet so I'll update my review. I can say that the contractor was impressed by the quality of the product.

Heavy duty

I discovered this type of drawer slide in the 1980s. Typically, furniture you buy, unless high end or custom (e.g., hand-made), will use drawer slides that are similar to these but made of much poorer quality/ gauge steel (most drawer slides can be bent in half without too much effort), and they lack ball bearings which go a long way to both a smoother glide and better support. These slides are the kind that I am always looking for because while never hard to find, not even back in the 80s, they've always been expensive. Which is why less and less furniture is made using them. I haven't installed these yet, I got them in anticipation of a future project, but I have absolutely no doubt that these will be more than up to the task. And given that this is a set of two, the price, at least in late August 2025, is pretty decent. Definitely not cheap but when it comes to drawer slides you definitely get what you pay for. And to be clear: for some applications, cheap metal slides or none at all may make sense. The idea with these is that if you have a specific use, say a drawer you plan to load up with canned goods that can end up, in total, weighing hundreds of pounds, there is really no way to have a functional drawer in that case without heavy gauge steel. drawer slides with ball bearings which is exactly what you get here.

These new drawer slides are excellent. They feel very sturdy and well-built. I used these for a garbage bin drawer, which now opens and closes incredibly smoothly. Installation was straightforward, and the quality is noticeably better than what I had before. Highly recommend if you want a solid upgrade.

Great product

Very satisfied with the construction and overall build quality. Tight tolerances, super smooth action and very heavy duty. They do cost a lot, but these seem to be worth the expense.

Works as it should and is well made. Only negative is price as a quick search on Amazon will reveal slides with higher specs for the same price.
