Looks and sounds realistic. Perfect for 5-8 years old.
My child has been wanting a toy chainsaw and this one fits the bill perfectly. We’re not using the included apron because it’s not being used for Halloween. The chainsaw is a great size for a 5-8 year old. It looks and sounds realistic. The volume level is good….it’s loud enough to sound realistic for a child but not too loud. It’s lightweight but seems durable. My favorite feature is that the chain actually spins around while holding in the button and stops once the button is released. It does require 3 AAA batteries that are not included. I’m including photos and a video for size reference. Keep in mind, the photos are of an adult holding the chainsaw so it may seem small, but for a child it’s the perfect size.

Arrowbash Halloween Chainsaw Prop
I got this for my kid and it’s the perfect costume accessory. It has fun motion sound effects and lights that really bring the prop to life. It’s a great 38.99 choice for a kid who wants a cool costume but isn't quite ready to commit to a specific movie character yet.

A good and playful costume
This kids chainsaw and apron costume is good and playful. It's made of high quality materials and the sounds made from the chainsaw are very realistic. The chainsaw is bigger than my expectations and the apron is printed to make it look like a burlap sack. The apron is a child's size, but definitely could fit an adult too, just a little shorter. There is nothing sharp about the chainsaw, making it safe for use. This costume has many uses, making it a high functioning piece. I believe it is a good value for the money. I would select this item again.

Kid-Sized Chainsaw Mostly holds up
Look, Saturday mornings I’m out there wrestling the real chainsaw while my five-year-old “helps” by dragging sticks and yelling “TIMBER!” I got this little set so he could mimic me without losing a finger. Popped batteries in (4 AAs, not included), flipped it on, and the motion-triggered rev + flashing light had him hooked for a solid hour. Pros: * Sound is spot-on loud without being ear-piercing; neighbors didn’t complain. * Chain is made of rubber so it looks real but is safe. * Trigger’s easy for tiny hands; he ran it one-handed like a pro. Cons: * Light’s cool for five minutes, then feels gimmicky. * Plastic “safety switch” feels thin like it will brake easily. Volume hack: Stuff a tiny cotton ball in the speaker hole if the rev gets too loud for indoors—muffles it just enough it would even be good for apartment play. It mostly worked for us—kept him busy while I actually got the yard done. Worth it if your mini lumberjack needs a safe sidekick.

Fun Toy Chainsaw – Realistic Look, But Some Design Flaws
I bought this mainly for the chainsaw, not the apron, so I won’t comment on that. The chainsaw itself has been a hit with my 2- and 4-year-old boys (I won't suggest for kids 6 and older - too small) who love pretending to do yard work. It looks surprisingly realistic and the sound effects are a great bonus. However, I had a tough time opening the battery compartment—the screw just kept turning and wouldn’t come out, almost like it was stripped. I ended up having to force it open and break the cover to get the batteries in. Also, the activation mechanism is a bit confusing for little kids. You have to "pull" a lever that doesn’t actually move to turn it on before it makes noise. A single, simple button would make it much more kid-friendly. Overall, it’s a fun toy with good visual and sound appeal, but the usability could definitely be improved.

spooky
it feels real, my son loved it. He used it yesterday for his Halloween party at his friend's house and all the kids enjoyed playing with it. Sound is real, light weight. Chainsaw looks real but safe for kid to play with. Apron is not that great. It is very fragile, not feels real and smaller than expected. perfect for 5-7 years kid.
