Incredibly fun for the kids! Many assembly options.

My grandson loves this toy! It keeps him busy and entertained. He always asks for it when he comes over. I bought another set to make an extra large track!

This is an absolutely fascinating toy that is more than just a toy. It has an element of tech in design, and that might explain a bit why the price range is on the high side. But the value is in the educational and mental stimulation that a system like this can provide. The kind of inspiration provided in the past by toys like Lincoln Logs is brought into the future a lot with a toy like this that can educate and inspire while entertaining at the same time. Attention can be extended in the way it can be rearranged in a variety of different setups. Some will work and others not so much but within this trial and error lies a valuable lesson which when learned, can be carried forward for years of possible achievements later in life. I tried to use my best inner 3 to10 year old mental ability but at first try I couldn't exactly match the picture in the instructions but got a close resemblance. Some of the 'missing parts' mentions kind of reflect that so I guess I'm not alone as I found myself counting shapes. I ended up with a close resemblance of the picture that provides a continuous track for the car to travel endlessly in many positions. Perhaps if this toy could get wide spread popularity and adoption the prices could come down to the point where expanding tracks and adding vehicles could be practical. I can see how due to pretty strong construction, and relatively complicated motorized tiny vehicles the prices might make that not likely but with expanded adoption maybe that could correct a bit. On the plus side, it appears to be well made and should be pretty long lasting. It may come down to how long this toy system remains available and the commitment of the manufacturer. Just as is, it should be quite entertaining for the target age group.

This marks the SECOND set by this brand that I have received for review. The system is solid, the train stays on the tracks nicely. The track assembles and breaks down very nicely. Assembled tracks are quite strong. The colors should keep kids engaged. Now the issues. The first set was missing pieces. The first thing I noticed when I opened this set was that it had all the pieces. I proceeded to assemble the "flagship" layout on the front of the box. Then I noticed the screw. The screw was bouncing around loose in the box. My first thought was to check the engine, but no, the engine was intact. I then inspected the pieces and found that one of them did not have it's screw in it. When I went to put the screw in, it behaved as if the screw was stripped. It turns out that the screw itself was poorly manufactured and lacked the threads necessary in the first place to work at all. The two halves of the cube came apart and I have settled for gluing the piece together. This is the kind of error that should have been caught during assembly of the pieces. Two sets, two different issues. It is a shame because I really do like the system, but clearly there are gross quality control issues here. I have to recommend getting a different brand of set if you want to break into this type of toy.

This is absolutely amazing for my grandchildren to build then run/race. There is two engines. Love this!
