Reviewing Rolling Creeper Mat, 60" x 28" Under Car Repair Mat with Storage Bag I normally use a wheeled creeper along with a floor jack and safety stands. If I don’t need the extra height or don’t want to set up the jack and stands, I use a simple moving blanket. I ordered this mat to replace the moving blanket for those quicker jobs. I tested it on a smooth concrete garage floor while working under my SUV. WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE: * The mat surface rotates from underside to topside so oil or grime from the floor can be transferred topside. * Storing it in the included bag creates deep creases that may further affect how it lays flat. * It occupies more storage space than a basic moving blanket. * The sliding action is inconsistent. Instead of gliding smoothly, the mat tends to shift sideways and wrinkle under load, which interferes with movement. Bottom line: In practice, it does not perform as effectively as I had hoped. For my purposes, a standard moving blanket remains a more practical solution.

Alright, this isn’t thick padded creeper for getting under cars. But this is what it actually does. This is a quilted lightly padded water proof ring that lays down as a double layer on the ground. The inside between the two layers is meant to slide. So you can lay down in front and push with your feet and the mat stays under you because it slides. And since it’s a ring the ring just rotates under you if that makes sense to those envisioning this in your mind. For this purpose it works way better than cardboard. There are two handle flex straps on one side that could be better but they are adequate. It isn’t as wide as I would have liked but it works. I explained all of that because when I received this I was expecting a big unfolding mat. When I opened a big mat ring that looked like is meant to be some kind of protective surround to kids pool I was, for a moment confused and thought this was the wrong item. There is no installation required, you unfold and throw it down, lay down bridge your back and drive the shoulders back and it rolls under or slides how ever you want to describe it. Also with the carrying pouch this is great mat to keep in the car for roadside emergencies or if there’s no seating in the lawn at practice. Definitely a decent value as I have seen others that were way more money. These aren’t fancy but they work.
