Cuisinart WM-SW2N Dual-Sandwich Nonstick Electric Grill

This is a great product, easy to use (green light comes on when it is ready) and easy to wipe clean. Because of the nonstick, you don't even need to spray butter or put butter on the outside of the bread. You can make two sandwiches at one time. The heating is perfect for a lightly browned sandwich. When you close your sandwich in on the grill, it will smash down the edges and the middle at a diagonal. The diagonal then provides you a nice line to cut your sandwich in half. Warning: Do not overstuff your sandwich or it will leak, especially cheese. Keep a 1/4 inch border from the edge of the bread clear for best results when it smashes down. Some of the other reviews mentioned that the plastic clasp may break. I can see how that might happen, but after several months of careful use, we have not had an issue. We highly recommend slicing a boiled egg and putting it on the sandwich with just a hint of butter on the inside part of the bread. So yummy and simple!

Do you ever want to make something in a hurry? Do you often find that you only have bread in the pantry and a few items in the fridge for dinner? This is your product! I bought this about a month ago and I love it. This device only takes about 1.5-2.0 minutes to cook and you can put just about anything in here!! My favorite thing to make for me and my husband is what we call..."the mini pizza" Here is the recipe: 2 pieces of bread (per mini pizza) Ragu spaghetti sauce cheese meat (we like salami) Butter one side of each piece of bread. Put the butter side down on the grill. Spoon out some Ragu sauce onto the bread. Then take your cheese of choice and sprinkle the cheese onto the Ragu sauce. Take your salami (or any meat you want) and lay it on top of the cheese. Put the other piece of bread (butter side up) on top of the meat and close the lid. Soooo good!!! The lid takes a little bit of strength to close but don't worry, you are not going to ruin the mini pizza or sandwich. Just keep pressing down. Wait until the green light comes on and you are all set!! Enjoy. This was the best 20 dollars I have spent. We use it at least once to twice a week...if not more. I also put just cheese in the sandwich. My husband likes to put a bunch of lunchmeat, cheese and mustard in it. No matter what you decide, it will be good. This is also safe for kids to use. (with supervision) It is easy and fun to make. The cleanup is a little annoying I have to admit. The bread crumbs and cheese get melted on the side and into the little crevices and it makes it a little difficult to clean. But all you need is a paper towel and you pretty much wipe it down and you are done. You will not regret buying this!! So, go for it!! Get it and make your future favorite snack this week!! I needed a sandwich maker to make some occasionally for snack or for my kids to take as lunch. We decided not to spend $50 on a gadget we would only use once a week or so. This is a great price for a unit that makes two sandwiches at the same time. Here are the features in this machine that I liked: 1. You can make two sandwiches at a time. Four slices of bread. Pepperidge Farm slices will not fit,so use regular sized bread. I've used white and wheat and both came out fine. 2. There is indeed even heating from both top and bottom. I did not find any side to be overcooked. 3. This is BPA free. Important given all we now know about BPA. 4. The plates are nonstick. I've made sandwiches with too much filling or cheese. Whatever is stuck to the plate is easily wiped off with a damp paper towel after allowing it to cool. Here's what I didn't like: 1. The unit comes with indicator lights. Red for cooking and green for done. I have never yet been able to use it to where I let it go to green. I like my sandwiches to be slightly crispy on the crust but not burnt. So if you're like me, you'll want to keep an eye out and your nose open to tell you when you're done. 2. I would have so much appreciated a timer bell or something to indicate that the sandwiches are done. I have to keep an eye out for them anyway, so this is not such a big deal. And for the price, I'm happy with what I'm getting for something I'm only going to use once a week at max. The first time I used this, there was a slight chemically smell. I recommend throwing away the first set of your sandwiches, or rather a slice of bread in each pocket. Overall, it does a great job of making sandwiches that we can enjoy. (Think grilled sandwiches, mashed potatoes and diced peppers, leftovers inside hot toasty bread).

I love sandwich makers. I think that they are something that most of us first experienced when we were young and then forgot about them. I have been following a low carb diet and one day it occurred to me that if I had one of these I can use it to make my omelets and crust less quiches. Oh and fritters. I haven't tried them yet but plan to try to create a fritter using something besides flour. The possibilities are really endless with this.. This sandwich maker has worked like a charm. I've used it every day for the last 2 weeks and it cooks evenly and consistantly. The heat is a gentle steady heat which makes it perfect for my uses. I like the fact that it gives you a green light when it's ready and that I can wrap the cord up on the back when I'm done. You can't submerge this to clean it, but the non stick surface makes clean up a breeze. The only caution I offer is be careful not to overfill it or you will have a mess! On first time use it was giving off plasticky smoke, same thing happened the second time.......the plates are not deep enough to have a good stuffing.......size of the plate is too small for sandwich sized bread slice n too big for regular sized bread slice as available here at my place was late by a day to return it as the window closed within 17 day of delivery which was not highlighted, so am left with a sandwich maker with size which is neither big nor deep n is smoking toxic fumes that i am afraid to use anymore

Nice product for a cheap price. Would have been beneficial if cuisinart made these out of stainless steel

Es una sandwichera compacta y bonita, fácil de limpiar y almacenar, pues el cable se enrolla en la parte inferior y se guarda horizontal o vertical. Los sándwiches quedan bien aplastados y doraditos en los bordes, aunque el corte que divide al sándwich a la mitad debería ser más profundo, tal vez, porque no se pueden separar las mitades del sándwich de forma limpia usando solo las manos. En general estoy satisfecho con el producto.

Makes absolutely just delicious sandwiches. Use it for pizza pockets is especially delicious. I find up the sandwiches a little thick it's kind of hard to squeeze shut. But once it's shut it takes no time to make the sandwich
